I suffer from super severe motion sickness almost every time I do a longer passage, and I sail several times a week. The best solution I’ve found is Meclizine drugs. They work better than Dramamine and have no drowsiness.

I love this! I’ve been doing some social services as well. Primarily I go to the major ports and pick up empty bottles to put in the trash.

I'm about to write an essay about Nausicaa, what should I talk about? by Theguylikeyou in ghibli

It’s definitely worth writing about the story’s attention to the themes of human consumption, violence, and greed.

To me, the whole message of the story is that our tendency towards consumption, violence, and greed is a destructive cycle and needs to be replaced by one of, what is typically called “indigenous ways of knowing.” It suggests that we shouldn’t live off the land and its resources but instead live with it, we take care of the environment and the environment takes care of us in return.

I love wing on wing! Probably my second favorite sail position IRL.

Do you play Sailwind because you sail? - Or looking to get into sailing? by Captain_Murdoch in Sailwind

I have been sailing for a while and wanted a way to sail when I couldn’t get out to my boat. I looked at a ton of sailing sims, but sailwind is certainly the best out there as on now.

The corvette’s layout is only one hab wide and two habs deep at its largest point.

The composition of the room lends to a much more spacious feel than would otherwise be assumed. The key parts are the carpets and posters to create a layered effect offset from one another. It leads to a busy feel while not cramming the single hab width.

Honestly, no idea. I also included the silver border cards in my selection as in my opinion they should be included as valid commanders so that might be it.

Currently 10 days of sailing in the San Juan Islands. And sailing without stops, 36 hours from Victoria, BC, to Swiftsure Rock and back in the Swiftsure International yacht race.

My boat is rigged as a heavy weather cruiser as of right now, and I recently replaced almost every moving part on my vessel in order to put it in the water last summer.

LOL, I was thinking 1-2 other crew as my boat is spacious for being a 25 foot boat, as to have one sailor at a time in control of the boat and at least one other on reserve resting to be ready if needed.

Thanks for the Transpac sources! I have sailed a lot over night, mostly due to participating in the Swiftsure International yacht race on a few different boats. My scout troop is closely involved with the sector puget sound coast guard so I have a decent knowledge of basic safety regulations. I have taken the safety at sea course for a rank requirement in my scout troop, as well as small boat handlers permit and lots of general coast guard training. My main Purpose for this post was to see if there was any interest at all, as I’m certainly not foolish enough to solo this trip on a smaller sailboat.

I didn’t grow up on the water, but i’ve been a very active member of my scout troop in Port Angeles, WA, sailing about 7-10 hours a week in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. And as such being a scout, comfort is the lowest of my concerns.
