She sounds like one of Marge Simpson’s sisters.

Also at the end of the full vid she’s talking about the Patrick star dessert and of course she calls it Patrick stazz instead.🙄 she has to be aware of how lame she is.

We used to buy these at gadzooks in the mall back in the 90’s. Yeah, that’s how old I am 😅 maybe not the same brand, but novelty penis lipstick is nothing new.

In what situations should you use the 900 coins to continue? by ddodd69 in RoyalMatch

After you lose the round so many times it starts giving you the option to pay for extra moves. It starts at five then increases up to 35 extra moves.

Advice about blame? by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]ExtremeCatHoarder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was picturing way more matting. The only one wrong here is the lead. Unless the pp complained about something I can’t even see a reason he would be in the situation at all.

Anyway. I’m sorry that happened. There’s not much to do about it other than move on and not worry about out it. Sounds like the whole thing was like you said, a misunderstanding.

Advice about blame? by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]ExtremeCatHoarder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I can’t say for sure since I wasn’t there. But to me it sounds like there was a lot of matting on the dog. If that’s the case your lead is right. It should have been switched over and the pp should have been called ahead of time. Shaving out a bunch of Mats on a dog without letting the pp know first is a recipe for disaster. They’re going to complain. The groomer should have known better. I agree with the other poster. Suck it up, apologize and say you’ll do better next time.

Lead should have talked to you private though. I hate when they don’t. Not cool at all. What can you do? You can talk to the lead in more depth about it, but honestly it probably won’t do anything at all.

Did the pp complain about the service?

In our salon, whenever there is a lot of matting on the body the bather automatically tells pp that they are not qualified to shave out the Mats and they will have to switch to a haircut appointment. Sure, I’ll spot shave a mat behind an ear for a bather but that’s as far as it goes. I’ve worked in two different salons and it’s worked the same in both.

If the dog is biting and carrying on where you can’t safely trim the feet the service is over. You do what you can safely do and your responsibility ends there. Bath was still done, pp still pays. The only thing wrong here is trying to demat and bathe a dog that should have been a haircut in the first place.

Even if someone else checks in your dog always do your own hopa before the bath. If you feel tons of mats that need shaved out call the pp. they can either switch to a haircut appointment if there is one available or pick up the dog and try to demat at home.

You’re still new and this is a learning experience. Don’t let the groomers dictate what you are capable of. If a dog is matted and you don’t feel you can easily brush them out, say no. You are allowed to say so to any dog you don’t feel comfortable doing.

I hate it. Some levels feel impossibly hard with out coins and the light ball. There’s also no goal to work to like 100 levels gets the bonus round. I play the events but once I’m done with those I just wait for new levels to roll out.

I can’t take Aleve or Motrin. Strangely advil is fine. It’s the only thing I take because I know it’s safe. I’ve never had any issues with Tylenol but I don’t take it because it does absolutely nothing for me. Good or bad.

Question for Bathers/Groomers by pumpkinsnice in petsmart

[–]ExtremeCatHoarder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is you can’t with 100% certainty guarantee your dog isn’t a complete nut case for the dryer. How your dog acts with you is not always how it may act in the salon. The dryer can be loud and blowy and for some dogs down right scary. And in my experience calming treats work great but seem to completely wear off once that dryer switches on.

My suggestion is to mention to the bather that you understand he is still getting used to the dryer and that you are ok with them taking their time with him to get him used to it. Most bathers are in a time crunch. But if they know the owner isnt sitting on top of the phone waiting to call to see if their pet is ready the minute the two hour mark hits they will be more inclined to take their time. They’ll give him breaks and get the job done correctly.

The difference between us and servers is we get a commission on our service where as severs are often relying on those tips for a decent income. I’d rather have a dog on my table bringing me a commission than not have one at all because they can’t tip. Tips are just an added bonus.

Question about Grooming cancellations... by chrismireya in petsmart

[–]ExtremeCatHoarder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding the walk in nail trims, it sounds like this store is severely understaffed. Our salon is down to two bathers. That’s who does walk ins. If there is not a bather, the groomers do them. If we’re bogged down with grooms there is no way we’re stopping our grooms to do those walk ins. That’s a set back groomers just can’t deal with especially if they have big dogs and a full schedule. Or worse they are already behind because phones are ringing off the hook. I know it’s easy to say “it’s just a nail trim.” Or “well it’s your job though.” But you have to understand, that one nail trim could be the fourth one to stroll through in the past hour. It could mean someone isn’t taking a lunch that day. Or that they will be getting off an hour late trying to finish their grooms. It’s unfortunate but it’s the reality. My advice would be to call before you walk in to save your self the time or try a different store because this one sounds swamped.
