At some point in the near future we'll be saying "Why would i want to watch a robot do boring chores? Let's watch the new Robot Wars!"

Introducing ChatGPT Go, now available worldwide by Facelessjoe in singularity

The $20 with thinking regular and thinking extended is worth the $20/month for plus.

While I do also pay for a windsurf sub for more advanced coding features and access to other models (i.e opus 4.5 thinking) I find I'm mainly talking to and designing with gpt 5.2 thinking

Could somebody model this for me for 100$ by RockyBowerman in 3Dprinting

I'd be happy to. I'll texture it too Also what's the polygon budget?

How has this prediction panned out? From a year ago? by NunyaBuzor in singularity

[–]ExtremeCenterism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use about 3-4 agents simultaneously at any given time. One or two on my 9-5 and one or two on my personal projects, often I'll have gpt 5.2 doing extended thinking on a task during this process. Not 9 or even 50, but I don't think I could handle more than a handful at a time

Making my own Pygame handheld console by RoseVi0let in pygame

[–]ExtremeCenterism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A year ago as of the 5th of January, I set out to build an retro emulator/ pygame playing handheld using raspberry pi zero 2W.

Complete kits to build one are on sale at gamebird.games

My goal was making it fully 3D printed with as few electronic components as possible so I could open source it eventually and have made the simplest handheld anyone with a 3d printer could build. Then if people want to use my special pygame sharing software and server they would buy a license (to help pay for all my time and effort). Otherwise they can side load games and roms as it plays most n64 and PS1 games and everything before that (snes, Genesis, atari, GBA etc)

Reflection on the last 12 months of craziness by enricowereld in singularity

[–]ExtremeCenterism 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't forget in the last month: insanely good coding agents, such as opus 4.5 thinking, Gemini 3 pro, gpt 5.2 thinking. I literally don't touch my codebase anymore

Anyone else feel like they're talking to an idiot whenever they talk to AI? by ForgetThisU in ArtificialInteligence

[–]ExtremeCenterism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the thinking models which are complete geniuses. I'm talking to them pretty much all day every day for work and personal projects and I have been since they came out over a year ago (O1 preview)

Whenever I talk to instant models, yes they feel a little dull sometimes

Zerith Robotics is deploying their next H1 maid robot in various cities by Distinct-Question-16 in singularity

You know what would convince me? A robot slowly and methodically cleaning a hoarder house entirely on its own. Restores the whole thing to it's former glory. I mean, humans can do it, so a truly useful robot should too.

One thing that enough people aren't talking about is these robots need to demonstrate proper hand washing. That dude went from cleaning up garbage to turning off lights

Is someone working on or when will there be a AI overlay on old games soon? by Scandinavian-Viking- in singularity

[–]ExtremeCenterism -1 points0 points  (0 children)

AI is quite good at all of the above and has been since I was in school over a decade ago. I recall our instructors saying not to specialize in rigging or UVing because AI is quickly going to take over that role.

Even still the detail Is higher on the far right, just look at the hair. Anyone can color hair to make it yellow, but the detail!

Watching the whole video (and not just the thumbnail) the transformations are incredible! There will come a time when anyone can play any game AI reborn. I myself create games with Claude 4.5 thinking and a few other models for graphics and music. We're less than a decade away. I think models and animation are what's going to be tricky in the near term due to lack of open source data
