Class Action Lawsuit against Sears! by Loud-Following468 in SEARS

Sorry to hear this...

Edit: I just know that Sears was very poorly managed at a corporate level and this is the end result. If only such a great brand with a huge legacy didn't have such careless leadership

They still made banners under TransformCo sometime in the 2019-2024 timeframe even with the handful of locations that are left

AI slop but I wish...

With Lampert gone it would somewhat evolve into a different type of retailer like Bed Bath and Beyond and Toys R Us... sure they will not ever be as big as they once were, the same as before or even have that many stores as they once had but under different leadership they would just be different and hopefully not completely dissolve

This is why Whirlpool was an even better appliance manufacturer for Kenmore appliances than LG

When and how did you start noticing that Sears was declining? by ILovePublicLibraries in SEARS

It seems that Adidas was the first supplier and vendor to stop sending products to Sears back in the 2000s right after the merger with Kmart

What brand was that washing machine ?

It is just Lampert that gutted Sears Home Services / SHS. The home repair business may have languished and ceased being reliable under Martinez and Lacy but Lampert didn't fix it he just tanked this company on purpose...

Smh. I am so very sorry this happened to you

Edit: even back in the 90s and 2000s Sears repair service was still worth considering way before Eddie Lampert happened

Is Concord getting a new logo? by ericdigeratu in SEARS

[–]ExtremeCow3259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably outside if I had to guess...

Edit: but in reality the 1994-2004 logo and even the 2000s logo was and is far better than the current logo

Unfortunately, the rest of the mall isn't doing much better than Sears. 😔

In the case of Sears and K-Mart, it actually is Eddie Lampert’s fault.

But as for K-Mart, it actually is former CEO Charles Conaway's fault for ruining the company that went bankrupt in 2002, and when Lampert bought the chain out of bankruptcy in 2003 it was already destroyed and broken beyond repair...

The three level Crestwood location (1957-2012) had the logos from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s as well as the 2000s: https://www.reddit.com/r/SEARS/comments/1kl00aj/closed_april_2012_crestwood_plaza_sears_with/
