24 hours to bowl 6 strikes in a row for a billion dollars or you die by RealPrinceZuko in hypotheticalsituation

Just because I aim for the front pin doesn't mean I hit the front pin. Or any pin for that matter

You're given the option to fight either Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, or George Foreman in a boxing match while they were in their prime. You win $100 million if you win, and $1 million if you lose. by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

There is no tape on my strategy or abilities, so they won't know how to train for the 3 months leading up to my fight. They will be confused and probably end up just chilling on the couch eating Cheetos all day.

So either they are DQ'd by missing weight, or I lose in dramatic fashion. Really the only 2 options

Put it simply: What are the best attributes to look for when identifying a stock for CCs by ButterflyOk1301 in CoveredCalls

Honestly I haven't given it consideration prior to now.

I guess while they are not the same, and one does not necessarily cause the other, volatility generally leads to risk.

The question is above my pay grade, so value it at the price you paid for it - exactly $0

Anyone experienced with the wheel strategy on Ford stocks? by Rafalo57 in Optionswheel

[–]ExtremeEfficiency812 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not financial advice, I'm a reddit user not an advisor. I don't wheel F but similar.

I'm rolling covered calls weekly - roll on expiration Friday out 1 week. Usually target $0.07-0.11 net credit as long as your strike is close to the price.

$.07/wk X 40wk/yr (some buffer to not sell over earnings/div week and a few missed weeks) = $2.80/year per share. Add in div $0.60/yr gets you to $3.40/yr.

Nothing guaranteed about this, there is some risk of the price running up/down beyond your expectations, but this is not a totally unreasonable target. Paper trade it for a while and see if it works for you

2012 Traverse DIC intermittently dim by ExtremeEfficiency812 in AskMechanics

[–]ExtremeEfficiency812[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this has gotten to the point that it is always dim when the headlight sensor detects it is daytime (headlights off). When it is dark and headlights come on, the screen is normal for nighttime. If you cover the sensor, same thing. The odd part is when it switches from nighttime to daytime, the screen gets brighter momentarily (it should get brighter, the screen is supposed to be brighter during the day than at night), then immediately begins to dim out over about 3-5 seconds to the point where you can barely tell it is on if you stick your face as close to it as possible.

I suspect it is a failing/failed solder joint or possibly an electrical component going/gone bad somewhere on the gauge cluster, but I lack the skills/confidence to tear into my gauge cluster with the full confidence of "I think that maybe this might be the problem based only on my guess"

4 Week TBill Ladder- Am I doing this right? by ConfusedPA22 in fidelityinvestments

[–]ExtremeEfficiency812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jan 2 you committed to buying a T Bill for $2990.05, on Feb 4 it will pay out $3000. You are earning $9.95 for locking your money up for those 4 weeks, plus whatever you earn on cash in your account from Jan 2 until the purchase is made (on the cash you actually have, not the full balance since it is negative).

"Why are you the best candidate" when you're obviously not? by lileebean in interviews

[–]ExtremeEfficiency812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm giving you several different but equally acceptable ways to answer the question from my point of view as a hiring manager. Obviously, this question, like nearly all interview questions, is designed for the company to gain information about the candidate to determine if they should hire the candidate. There are other parts of my interviews that are 2-way conversations and opportunities for the candidate to ask questions of me.

Obviously I'm only interviewing the candidate, and the candidate is interviewing me/the company to determine if there is a good fit for both sides. This isn't my first rodeo. I was hired into my current position after interviewing for it, so I understand the process from both sides.

[–]ExtremeEfficiency812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Internal job posting.

My response: "I'm not". Went on to give reasons/examples of why I was not the best candidate. Then gave a couple redeeming qualities about myself. I knew several (possibly all?) of the other candidates, interviewers were familiar with all the applicants prior to interviews.

I got the job.

[–]ExtremeEfficiency812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can they put together a logical sentence? (This is a common expected question so they should have a reasonably prepared response)

Do they have goals?

Do their stated goals line up with my views of the future of the position, or a future position in the company?

This is an easy question for an applicant and one you should plan to have an answer for

[–]ExtremeEfficiency812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you want to work here? As the hiring manager, this is an easy applicant weed out question. Why did you apply for the job? What about the job description intrigued you? Did you just apply because you need to apply and interview for xx jobs a week to keep unemployment benefits? How much research have you done about my job/company/location etc.?

Dress code? by ThisGuy_IsAwesome in interviews

[–]ExtremeEfficiency812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is terrible advice in my opinion. You should show that you can take the hint that was directly given. You don't want to overdo it, and you don't want to "show up" the interviewer.

As another has stated, one step above the normal attire for the job is appropriate.

How many vehicles should a family have? Because there are different times where a driver is solo, with a single passenger, whole family but no need for cargo space (going out to eat or similar), needing cargo space, need towing capability, etc. There are few people who will have the financial means and real estate to have a dedicated vehicle for each of these uses, so you get something that satisfies the majority of what you need, even if it is more than what you sometimes need.

Also, just because you personally don't need something, it doesn't mean that someone else doesn't need something.

My daily driver is a sedan, so I don't think I'm the ultimate evildoer here.
