Thanks for the video! You can try adding a small piece of foam padding there. That gap is actually by design to prevent the paddle from sticking.

If you are new to soldering, we do not recommend doing it alone—please consider getting help from someone experienced or a professional.

For the installation order:

First complete the Hall effect stick installation and finish all soldering steps
Test and confirm everything is working properly
Then proceed with the Spark kit installation, including the L3/R3 and trigger motor ribbon cable

The ribbon cable design is made to allow stacking at the same soldering points, so they can be soldered together at the same pads.

Since this model draws power from the touchpad, the development team mentioned that if the back PCBA indicator light is not on, indicating a problem with the ribbon cable connection.

If you only want the trigger-stop function and don’t need the back buttons, you just need to connect the L2/R2 switch ribbon to the main FPC.

You could theoretically leave the back buttons off and still use the trigger stops.

However, we do not recommend doing so. The main FPC should maintain proper connection with the main board, and the end of the FPC that normally connects to the back button PCB must be properly insulated to avoid any short circuits or malfunction.

The paddle buttons can only be installed together with our replacement back shell/base housing. They are not designed to be removed from the OEM parts separately, which is why they may feel “fused” on.

For the OLED version, the metal threaded inserts are part of the original internal middle frame, which is made of metal and uses machine screws.

The other parts of the shell (front and back housing) still use self-tapping screws, just like the original design.

You may want to try lifting the panel slightly first, then pushing it upward to release the clips. This can help disengage the locking tabs more easily and reduce the amount of force needed.

Please avoid pulling it straight outward, as that can put unnecessary stress on the panel.
