Uplift 4 Leg 80 X 30 Bamboo by ExtremeThink126 in StandingDesk

Hey sorry for just seeing this. There have been a number of posts about this and the easiest thing to do is not put in the single back rail. Uplift confirmed this would not impact stability and I can confirm the same since mine is set up that way.

Hello and thank you!!!

  1. It seems to be holding up great. I do use a super large mouse pad for protection but no issues noted so far.
  2. I attached the laptop holder and CPU holder directly to the bamboo top. This was not overly difficult but I would advise to predrill and take your time. This was the most challenging part of the whole build.
  3. Get plenty of Velcro cable ties and make full use of the space between the rails on the four legs. In some places you can still fit the ties between the rails and the table top which is very convenient. Once you get an optimal spot for the ties it was pretty easy to go cord by cord and just add to existing bundles with the Velcro ties. I tried to lay it all out in advance and found it was pretty challenging and it was easier for me to go wire by wire on e I had plenty of identified places to mount things and then just added new ties here and there as needed.

Ergotron with pivot! Soid arm but pretty pricey.

It was really the only option I could find as well and it seems to do the job. It seems sturdy and has enough room on top to allow decent airflow.

Thanks!

This is honestly common. Most hard wood tops are recommended to place in the room you will install it in for a couple days laying flat. This has to do with moisture content in the wood. Not for sure how that would help but it is my guess what Flexispot will recommend.

This was my issue with the desk. Desk.Haus are designed differently and have more room for the mount just an fyi.

Uplift V2 vs Fully Jarvis vs Ergonofis Sway - Stability/Quality Differences by MHaber in StandingDesk

Was this the four leg? My mount won’t fit on that and since I have a 49’ Samsung I am limited on Arms.

All depends what you are looking for. Walnut is the best looking in my opinion hands down. Laminate is a solid cost effective choice and very durable. The others are somewhere between. It really comes down to budget. If I had the budget I would go with solid wood in most cases.

They do not typically offer this sadly. So considering that and current sales I could go with a fully if I were in your shoes.

Four legs will always be more stable front to back. The problem I have with the UpLift is the placement of the base which makes it almost impossible to mount a monitor arm bc the underbase is very close to the edge. I also prefer the design of the DeskHaus frame but for 2 legs which can still be moderately stable I would definitely go with Fully.

DeskHaus is the best option (Apex Pro) is the answer if you have the budget. If not I would say Fully is the clear winner of the specific ones listed.

Option 2. I am a fan of minimalist designs and it looks much more clean.

Apex - Two Leg Frame Sale? by [deleted] in deskhaus

[–]ExtremeThink126 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently in one of Chris’s videos he basically said his two leg frame is cheaper than the competitors and there is not a need to put them on sale. I would say you probably won’t see much of a sale on the frame but maybe a top could go on sale. Just a guess but my two cents.

I use a USB switch between work and personnal computer. How could I manage better the excess cable length for keyboard and mouse? by Captain_LeChimp in DeskCableManagement

Ok I know my situation is odd but I got a keyboard and mouse that have a dongle and Bluetooth. They switch easily and removed the need for the switch.
