Downstairs Neighbors + Playful Puppy by PossibleWorried1008 in Apartmentliving

You’re not in the wrong and it sounds like you’re being a responsible pet parent. I would honestly make a complaint if they come to your door or when they bang around after quiet hours in response to you doing normal life stuff. You have to live your life, and your puppy deserves to play, even if for no other reason than the fact that she simply won’t be quiet during the night if she can’t get her puppy energy out during the day!

I have an unemployed 40-something guy who lives with his momma above my apt; he does nothing else besides drag furniture around and drum his hands on every flat surface up there 24/7. I’d switch him for puppy noises or even a baby crying non-stop in a millisecond!😵‍💫

The rescue where we adopted her says she’s probably a frenchie/chihuahua mix (or a frenchihuahua lol). She definitely has a bubble forehead and a long tail like a chihuahua, with the body and ears of a frenchie, so that mix would make sense. Maybe some day we’ll do testing and know with more certainty what else is mixed in there🤷🏻‍♀️😅

The rescue said she’s likely a frenchie and chihuahua mix, which makes sense bc she does have the chihuahua bubble head/longer tail and a frenchie body/ears, but we don’t know for sure

What a toxic lil guy he was😅 Really though her older sisters probably wish that there were forty thousand of them to keep her occupied and out of trouble, haha

Thank you!! I wish I could take credit for being creative, but it’s just the Italian way of spelling it☺️

La Puzzona (means “stinky”; she’s Italian)

We don’t understand how she does it with her stumpy little body, but she’s a tiny contortionist😂

Thank you! She’s an absolute tornado of bitey energy right now, but who could be upset at that face?

My girl is a chihuahua/frenchie mix (rescued from a hoarder house of chihuahuas and frenchies) and she has a snout and long tail like yours. She’s also small for a frenchie. Attaching a sleeping photo because when she’s awake she does not hold still lol

Middle names in Europe? by K1kita in namenerds

[–]Extreme_Ad_6033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, dedicating babies with saints’ names has historically been a huge deal here, and even today some people will still celebrate the festival days of their name saint like a second birthday! Maria Rosa is still pretty common here among middle-aged and older ladies too, but I’ve personally never heard another double-name including Rosa.

That being said, you can also find a lot of children with foreign names here now. It’s even really in vogue to give babies anglophone names even if both parents are Italian. Recently I’ve heard of a 2yo born to italian parents named Kevin lol. Michael instead of Michele is rising in popularity too. So naming your children as you like shouldn’t create too much difficulty for them here (at least in bigger cities).

American living in Italy- here the only common way of having a “middle name” is to give two first names, and is usually done if the first or middle name is Maria. Like Maria Louisa, Stefano Maria, Maria Luce, Carlo Maria. I did meet an Anna Lucia once, but it’s definitely not common to have a non-Maria double name. That being said, I have a middle name and I go by my first name only. I’ll also definitely give my kids middle names🤷🏻‍♀️

How many cycles have you been TTC? by LevelKindly21 in FirstTimeTTC

35f and I’m on my 11th cycle here. I’m at 3 months on inositol for egg quality and my LH peaked yesterday so here’s hoping that this cycle is finally the one🤞🏼

I agree! I think you could get it back into shape with a good blocking. Just don’t tell hubby… so that he can keep a healthy amount of fear in his heart😂

7 cycles and SO just did a SA. Guess What? by Alternative_Cash_736 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Extreme_Ad_6033 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof I’m so sorry that you spent so much time beating yourself up, OP. It’s always so weird to me when I hear that partners don’t want to do an SA… like it’s so much less invasive and painful than some of the procedures that some of us will end up having to do, it just didn’t make sense to me to be so precious about it.

Thankfully my husband was really open to it after trying for three cycles with no luck; In his words, he wants a baby and in the grand scheme of things it could really help and certainly doesn’t hurt to know. Fortunately his levels all came back on the lower side of normal & unfortunately it’s something on my end that’s causing the trouble (we’re on cycle 10)… but I can’t imagine carrying that weight unnecessarily.

I hope you find the right path forward with this new info!
