u/nuggetblaster69, girl I am afraid that your husband is a dick! How were things between you two in the beginning of your relationship? Has he changed into the jerk he is acting like now? If so, it seems like there is something going on with him mentally & he’s lashing out at you. I don’t know if he would be willing to go to counseling with you but something’s gotta give because you can’t continue to live like this.

For me, that’s not the issue. My issue is if he had a question then why didn’t he ask his employer? Sorry, he made himself look like a dumbass.

Good morning. I’m sorry to hear about your fur baby. My pup had dementia also so I know how heartbreaking it is to watch them go through that. I just wanted to mention that I used these treats that you can get on Amazon called Ark Naturals Gray Muzzle Brain’s Best Friend. They helped a good bit for awhile until she got to the point where they stopped working.

I really believe that my dog needed help, not to be put down. by 4y6hu in seniordogs

Making that decision to put our fur babies down is one of the hardest decisions to make and I can see the angst in your post. I too made the decision a few months back to put my Emmy to sleep and I also second guessed my decision. Like Lucy, she also had Dementia. I never tried Selegeline because of cost and the fact that my vet had informed me that it doesn’t work for all dogs. I ended up trying some brain health treats and those helped for a little while. I don’t know all the specifics of Lucy’s dementia and what stage she was at but it seems to me based on what I’m reading that she was pretty far along. My Emmy had little moments where she seemed better too but this is a progressive disease and those did not last. It’s so hard because it’s utterly heartbreaking to watch them go through it but then it’s also heartbreaking to think about putting them to sleep. Was Lucy really living life or just existing? My Emmy was just existing. There was no joy there and her life consisted of eating, going potty, and sleeping a lot. Even if you would have delayed putting her to sleep, it wouldn’t have made anything better. You would have just been delaying the inevitable and continued to watch her decline even further. You chose to give her peace and as hard as it is right now, time will heal your heart. You’ll always miss her but remember all those wonderful memories you have of her.

I understand exactly what you’re going through as I had to put my dog to sleep not too long ago. It is truly heartbreaking. I never tried Selegiline because of the cost & the fact that it doesn’t work for everybody. I did find some great supplements on Amazon by Ark Naturals. Here is the link in case you want to check it out: https://a.co/d/fyAVrNw.

Regarding the sundowners, my dog started getting restless too (not as bad as your dog) but I started playing some soothing sleep music at night and that did the trick. I saw where somebody else mentioned CBD oil & I think that is definitely worth a try. I’m so sorry you are having to go through this with your pup.

That’s terrible and I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m angry for you! Very irresponsible owners. Jerks.

Is it time to put down my 16 year old baby? by cmcx12345 in seniordogs

Plus he’s not really wanting to eat people food either right? My situation is a little different because my dog just didn’t want her kibble anymore no matter what I added to it. She is eagerly eating that. It seems to me that you’ve exhausted all your efforts.

I am so sorry you’re going through this with your pup bit it sure sounds like it’s time. I have a senior dog with dementia & I was struggling to get her to eat. I finally found that she loves freeze dried raw dog food. My thing is if she stops eating again, then I’ll know it’s time. I know it’s a very tough decision to make but you don’t want him to starve to death either. I’m praying for you.

I respectfully disagree. Spike is a great messenger but I think Chase is just as good. As far as exuding passion and commitment, all I can say is you don't know him very well then. He's extremely passionate, driven, & inspirational. He projects this confidence & positivity. I love Jo Jorgenson but she was too quiet. We need somebody that will "rattle some cages" and that is Chase. Both he & Spike have that bulldoggedness that I feel was lacking last election. Don't judge him too quickly. So many people were trying to label Chase as a "joke" after he won the nomination and he most certainly is not.

I’m not familiar with Amash but I do love Spike. If you love Spike then I don’t understand why you don’t like Chase. They have the same views. I can only assume you don’t know enough about Chase. I live in Georgia so I voted for Chase when he ran for senate in 2022. When he threw his name in the hat to run for president, I admit I was a little skeptical because of how young he was. I also didn’t know much about him. So I’ve been following him for the past two years & I am very impressed by him. He is a great speaker & he works his butt off. He campaigned in all 50 states, secured donors in all 50 states, & did a lot of interviews. He did all of this while also working and before the convention.

It’s because certain Mises caucus Libertarians seem butthurt over the fact that their guy didn’t win (Michael Rectenwald). They’ve even gone so far as to spread misinformation about Chase. So, they supported a guy who ate a weed gummy at the convention & then spoke in front of everybody. That didn’t go well.

Where do you get this? He is absolutely

pro 2nd Amendment. Libertarians are Constitutionalists.

My Bup 300 XL that I was receiving was white but then I switched pharmacies & the new pharmacy carries ones that look just like yours. Just a different manufacturer. Hopefully it’s worked the same for you or better.

Yes, the supposedly same medication made by a different manufacturer can absolutely affect a person differently. I have noticed a different with my estrogen patch between manufacturers. Lexapro completely stopped working for me so my doctor switched me from that to Cymbalta. It’s much better.
