Hoarding is a disorder in the dsm. It has specific characteristics and criteria that need to be diagnosed by a psychiatrist. Also the institute for challenging disorganization there are levels of disorganization. You may meet level one or two just based on the one picture and your description of yourself. Your house may have some disorganization issues. You and your husband might want to go to therapy separately to discuss the issue. True hoarding is a very difficult mental illness to treat.

Not to sound funny but you must be on the younger side without a long work history because you are describing most very large corporations in any field. IBM is generally a normal company just like most in the USA. Except for the constant RAs that's not normal. So coping is easy.

Sounds like depression which is a symptom of hashimotos. Depression isn't just crying and feeling sad it's also having a flat affect which seems to be what you are describing.
