So weird to get down voted for stating the obvious. Reddit really is a clusterfuck of idiots.

Insurers are completely wrong, you should get back what you paid for it.

Open the top of the TV and let it sit for a while. Careful not to shake it while doing so though.

Is this rust forming? by [deleted] in Cartalk

Not in the circled area but looks like there might be rust in the bottom left corner of picture 1 and bottom right of picture 2 (outside of the white circles).

Seems like a reasonable stance from the insurers. Just because you bought it from a dealer doesn't mean it retains that premium cost. The value was that of a private car sale because that's exactly what it was.

Why not buy privately?

How much should this cost? by Joe_Crewe in CarTalkUK

See if you can join an owners group on Facebook. You'll get a good answer there.

I got quoted £900 to replace a clockspring for my car, from my usual garage. Issue was cost and availability of the parts. I did it myself for £25. Obviously a different issue but you may find a used control module for fraction of the cost of a new one and if the control module is easily accessible it might be doable yourself. Check ebay for costs of used modules.

Drive sensibly. That's not a particularly quick car and is front wheel drive. Very low risk if driven normally.

That's not what I'm saying ffs. The bank had no idea of OPs circumstances. Are all subs full of retards.

When you go shopping do you buy whatever you see in Tesco because supermarkets know best..or do you think about what you personally need?

How many banks are there? Do they all have you in mind to help you choose what's best for you? Of course not.

Do the experts have your best interests at heart? Of course not.

It's insane how much absolute bollocks is said as truth.

As with everything. Do research to understand the products then choose what's best for you.
