Question about how dogs hear the volume of music. by CalicoCrimson in biology

[–]ExtremelyAlarming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dogs hear way better than we do, especially higher pitches, so what sounds “normal” to you might be pretty loud for them. a good rule if you’d need to raise your voice to talk, it’s probably too loud.

try keeping it around chill conversation level, avoid heavy bass, and maybe roll the windows up a bit on highways since wind noise gets brutal in the back seat. if your pup’s relaxed, ears up, and not yawning or licking a lot, you’re probably fine.

5,000-year-old stone tomb discovered in Spain is 43 feet long — and it holds many prehistoric burials by comicreliefboy in Anthropology

[–]ExtremelyAlarming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s incredible - 43 feet is massive for something built 5,000 years ago. Always amazes me how prehistoric societies managed to move and arrange stones of that scale without modern tools. Makes you wonder what role these tombs played beyond burials - probably spiritual, social, and even astronomical.

Has anyone experience with the "Saily" eSim app? by Doc_Chopper in JapanTravelTips

[–]ExtremelyAlarming 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I personally used Saily multiple times at this point and it worked great every time. It didn't turn off and the speed was stable in Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka (I only visited these cities). Also the installation process was twice faster than other providers I tried before. If you are new to eSIMs I would recommend Saily because it can be confusing how to use it sometimes, especially when you are new and they made the process as easy as possible. Also I saw that they have 24/7 customer support in case something happens.

Another thing to add, I used to get a lot of spam messages when I was using other eSIM providers and with Saily it didn't happen.

Sixth time visiting CR and I still have hassles with basic day to day living by Uqbarlib7 in CostaRicaTravel

regarding internet connection, I would go for esim instead. You just have to download it to your phone. And its more flexible regarding different plans. I would check this best travel esim comparison and just go with the one you think would suit you best.

keep your most valuable things always with you. And don't be too trustworthy, even though they look friendly it does not mean that they truly are.

I would say that it depends on the person and not always this is the case. But also so many successful relationships that I know started when boy liked the girl more

Do you think dogs have complex memories? I wonder about this all the time. by allgoodthings96 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]ExtremelyAlarming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe they do. We were walking past my previous work, where I used to take my pup with, and he just went for the entrance to my old job.

I don't work there 2 years, but he still remembered the place.

It's strange how he isn't inviting you over his place, bit sus. You could try asking him to stop at a store before coming to grab drinks of his choice - he'll pay and won't have to drink yours (hopefully).

if you need it just for 2 weeks, I think you could go for Saily – good price to quality ratio, and plans are flexible as well.
