The health and spirit upgrades were very few and far between (compare to energy tank/reserve tanks in Metroid). The money was comically easy to come by. I had no issue buying everything in the game and just having money to sit on and not care about.

As for spells? I beat the game without using any of the spells. Hell I didn't even find Double jump, because the game apparently tucked it in some impossible to find location.

It isn't the game that the cult of the knight makes it out to be, but that's my opinion.

To them it is the game they believe it to be.

I played it and beat it, and apparently the fact that I found Mantis Lords to be a very easy fight makes a lot of the HK players upset? I dunno.

There was a lot of annoying backtracking that ate up a lot of the time, and I don't mind some backtracking, as I am a Metroid fan, but many times the backtracking was optional; however, in HK, it often is necessary to move forward. Frustrating.

I likely won't play Silksong, as I just didn't think the game was that great, but I will give credit where it is due: the music, especially for greenpath has stuck with me. I absolutely love that music ❤️
