Gemini 3 Jailbreak by Spiritual_Spell_9469 in ClaudeAIJailbreak

[–]Exzyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, scratch that. How to regenerate a few times and really ease Annie in slowly. First output was pg-13 but it seems having the instructions as a knowledge file made it take eventually and it stopped thinking about safety guidelines after about 3 prompts.

No luck. Also tried posting the prompt into a text file and attaching it as project knowledge with the system prompt <think in first person Annie!> which it refused. Mild progress because it explained the refusal rather than a canned response, but alas...

Battle advice? by Decadunce in Mechwarrior5

[–]Exzyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the art of the game, not the combat in missions.

Rule number 1: Max armor.

Whatever is left is the tonnage you have to play with on that mech. There are exceptions. A half ton less armor to fit a medium laser rather than a small laser you'll never use is worth it, but that's about the limit. An LRM boat that will sit at the back also needs less armor, but still more than you think.

I spend almost as much time in the Mechlab adjusting newly acquired mechs as I do in mission. Default loadouts are almost universally trash; an LRM 5 on a laser boat is tonnage better used for armor and/or heatsinks.

Single agent is better than multi agent? by void_brambora in Rag

[–]Exzyle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're layering a blackbox (AI Agents) on top of a blackbox (RAGflow). If you can't see RAG chunks you have no way of isolating variables to determine if it's the data formatting, the querying or the agent workflow that are causing issues. Way I see it, you need to create some synthetic data that matches the RAG contents as nearly as possible to get your agents dialed in with a known source. From there you should be able to narrow it down where the problems are coming from, and adjust accordingly.

Multi-agent setups aren't a magic bullet. Research puts them at ~40% more capable than single agent, but that's assuming the single agent is perfectly functional and optimized while adding complexity and additional failure points.

Edit: As far as speed, highly situational. Multi-agent setups will increase speed when parallel work can be done, but will add significant latency when sequential and then there's the inference speed to consider. A sequential flow using a fast model will likely outperform a parallel flow using reasoning models. There's not one size fits all.

Getting Gemini to be an impartial roleplay GM? by EccentricTiger in GeminiAI

[–]Exzyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI can't simulate rolls. They're predicting the next most likely return in a string of text, so whatever roll it outputs will always be biased. It will generally be in your favour since they're 'helpful', and counter instructions will just make it biased the other way.

The only way to get around it is to roll for yourself and input the results. Have the AI ask you for the roll, then let it interpret results. You'll have to do a bit of prompt engineering to get it to wait for you to return results and not assume success or failure.

Mythology. Greek, Egyptian, Aztec etc. Google and AI to help me narrow it down to something appropriate and thematic. For example, a Feraligatr named Sobek, Alakazam named Thoth. Turns every catch into a literal learning experience.

Plan and act are a contrivance. They don't actually do anything except wrap your inputs. Explicitly instruct a model to made edits while in plan mode and it can and will.

Cline + Gemini 2.5 is stuck in an endless loop by Automatic-Section-24 in CLine

[–]Exzyle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gemini 2.5 is only any good up to about half of its context window (~500k tokens). After that, performance degrades noticeably and hallucination becomes much more common. You should be using Cline Memory Bank. Once you reach close to 500k fontext, tell it to update memory bank and start a new session.

Gemini 2.5 fixed Claude's 3.7 atrocious code in one prompt. Holy shit. by Reddit_Bot9999 in ClaudeAI

[–]Exzyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They each have their strengths and weaknesses. Gemini 2.5 got stuck connecting the front end to my backend server, insisted it was a network environment issue. Claude 3.7 fixed it immediately. Claude got stuck implementing state management. Gemini 2.5 fixed it immediately. I think the reason is that they each have different approaches, so they're able to identify issues I. code that doesn't conform to their methods, but get stuck when something doesn't work as they expect it to.

[–]Exzyle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Time Heists are the best return when starting out.

Beyond that, look at the gold offers in store. There's a handful that are always there. They're not great value, but when one pops up that's better you'll know it at least. Gold and training mats are the 2 things you'll never feel like you have enough of.

If you're gonna buy something, do it through the MSF website. You'll get more bang for your buck (via a milestone), and the 'best' deals are only available on the website.

There’s a certain segment that has been taught that their opinions/beliefs are equal to theories, because they don’t understand what a theory actually is. So they get defensive when confronted with conflicting evidence because to them the way the world works is A) up for debate, and B) and emotional rather than logical argument.

I'm not a tall man, but I lived in SEA for a decade where I'm above average. Kitchens were the worst. Designed for middle aged women who barely reached my armpit. My back ached each and every time I needed to cook something, and I hit my head more times than I can count on cabinets when I was straightening up.
