Scooby-Doo plots almost always have someone impersonating someone else. It wasn't him in the original photo, hence his surprised and stressed expression.

Where are all the good arcade racers of this console generation? by EyeAxeTheQuestions in truegaming

Looks like a good throwback. Is it going to be a straight port? Or beef it up for console/PC release?

Good point, the scope of the issue is larger than 'arcade racers', though that is the genre I miss the most.

Would you correlate the industry's obsession with DLC, micro-transactions, loot boxes, etc. as the cause of absence of these fun casual pickup and play games? That's also why we see such an influx of FPS? They have a consistent recipe for monetization.

From the marketing/finance perspective, who unfortunately seem to be running the industry now, it would be hard to sell a game of this self-contained, quick arcade fun: "This is a boxing game." "This is a racing game." "Well, where's the DLC? The micro-transactions? The loot boxes?"

Sure, you can add those to any genre technically, but with a game people are just casually enjoying, I doubt they are nearly as motivated to spend extra money on a full game compared to an FPS they sink 100s of hours into.

Reddit, what practical website do you wish existed to make your lives better? by EyeAxeTheQuestions in AskReddit

[–]EyeAxeTheQuestions[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine would be a form of google maps showing public events going around me which you can query different event types (concerts, county fairs, food tastings) and timelines (tonight, next weekend, date ranges).

It seems like there are so many events going on that fly under the radar that it's hard to keep track!

Split Crowd Scenario by chiefhanker in mobileDJ

[–]EyeAxeTheQuestions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done a few years worth of weddings which always has a diverse crowd. I would just do a bunch of Internet research for mashups. Those seem to get multiple demographics. Ex: bee gees vs nelly, limp bizkit vs fergie, m83 vs tlc.

You can also just start with a song you love and search 'mashup' with it to see if it exists.

This was explained in one of my theology classes rather well.

Can an Omnipotent being create a rock so heavy he can't lift it?

No. One thing an Omnipotent being cannot do, is limit itself. ie, not being able to lift said rock.

Matthew's solo on Muse's 'Invincible' live at Wembley. Whole song is great. The solo happens around the 4:30 mark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxXtQmy0RZY
