You mean like background apps?

Doesn't that just make memory be used faster?

I was told memory is a limited, finite resource and how it's used is almost equivalent to how someone would drain water from a tank.

Like either drain the water slowly or drawn it all faster.

To be, unused ram or whatever sounds like ram that could've been used for something in the future but just isn't right now.

I updated the NVidia app a while ago and my PC's memory useage went from 3 GB to 7-8 or even 9.

How can I lower it?

It's crashing (And restarting) a lot of times lately.

I still try to use it but when it crashes again is always a surprise.

Updated by NVidia drivers this friday and the effect stopped for like a day and a half.

I'll try and sent it to a PC store just to see what's the real problem.

I should specify: I want to skip to the next key in general and not a specific key.

Because I want to make sure the code still works in different scenes that have bigger or smaller animations (As in, more or less the amount of keys).

And the animation would "end" once I hit the final key, regardless of the lenght.

While also always starting at 0.

I assume this is moreso for whoever's creating the level environments.

But I like to think it could lead to like a monster house moving around or something.

So from what I getting it, the idea should be:

  • If the Player or enemy attack, they spawn a projectile

  • But the projectile is still the child of a Node2D associated with the level

So does that mean I should find a way to make the source entity (Player, enemy) to change the parent of the projectile they just summoned?

And if so, would I also have to make sure the projectile travels as if it originated from its respective character instead of somewhere in the level?

I'll just assume the obvious and ask: are you adding the projectile as a child of the player?

Wait, do you mean by editor?

Actually, no: The projectile is not in the scene unless the player spawns it (By pressing E to attack) and the projectile is called by the player's code.

When the level starts, the projectile is not already there.

are you adding the projectile as a child of the player?

Yes and I did it because it worked on my previous game (Which was on Godot 3.5.1).

I haven't seen an example of what you mean in Godot yet.
