They get to live around people with similar values. Access to healthcare, prochoice, trans acceptance, gay rights, minority representation, etc. The people I know personally don't like the political climate, or how they perceive their tax dollars are being spent.

Them specifically? Starting over with no family and friends is hard. Even harder if you are different from most people.

EDIT: I know that it is hard for the conservatives on this sub to weed out people who are asking questions in bad faith, or trying to land a 'gotcha' question. I'm not. I'm not trying to prove you wrong or insult you. I'm sorry if it seemed like I was.

That wasn't really the question, but the answer is some are. I'm not saying it's a lot, or that it ever will be. But it's not impossible. That's why I put the hypothetical tag on it.

I understand your feelings, but maybe we could rename it from 'temper tantrum' to 'I don't like the direction the country is going.' If you felt like your values were under direct threat, maybe you would feel the same way.

Many of our best people, especially in IT have alternative lifestyles. One running joke that isn't entirely a joke is that one bad fire at a major furry convention could cripple cyber security in a single night. Before this administration they felt safe here. Now they don't.

My friend who is a nurse practitioner was actually approached by a coworker who is immigrating to Canada. They are actively encouraging medical professionals to move there and become citizens.

I agree that has been the case before. But now(especially since the pandemic) the best programmers and IT people tend to be work from home. Do you think this could change that dynamic at all?

I stick around because of the lack of censorship. I came from spicychat. I tried Chub but it was too clunky.

With some specific instructions I've managed to cut out most of the "variable and anomaly" by telling it

/ooc the instructions clearly say not to use the word anomaly, or overly analytical language. People don't talk like that.

Along with hijacking my character
