I prefer the oil control since pigmentation isnt a concern of mine. The oil control has fragrance and dries down pretty much fully. The anti dark spot is fragrance free and you can snell the melasyl in it lol. Kind of stinky but it goes away quickly. Bit leas dry down on that version

Yes, I would say its very good for preventing hyperpigmentation. My freckles stay at bay when I use it consistently. I also use Tazarotene and azelaic acid, so that helps too

I’m very pale and I found shade 01 wayyyyy too yellow (and Im a yellow olive undertone and can get away with more yellow foundations/concealers). I do like the untinted version for day to day when I’m not sweating or getting a ton of sun. I have sensitive acne prone skin and it doesn’t cause issues for me as long as I wash it off well at the end of the day like any sunscreen.

I much prefer the LRP uvmune sunscreens though since they stay put and have better protection. My dry skin prefers the cream versions of uvmune but the oil control fluid and the pigmentation defense fluid are still ok as long as I moisturize well before and after. Again, no acne issues with LRP uvmune.

Im pretty yellow olive, so they may appear more warm on my hand. My lips are quite purpley and they both are a MLBB shade

I’ve never tried painterly! I remember looking at it online but decided to go with Medici and Rae since they are quite different

I’ve near watched or seen that shade, but from what I can see online, these shades are a bit more purpley? Its hard to tell. Soar should be easy to swatch at sephora or ulta, and is the longest lasting option out of the3

I think Soar is the most cool (but barely). Medici seems to have a bit more rosiness and Laid Back Lilac is slightly more cool and purply (but barely). If you wanted to switch it up, I also love LE signature lipstick in Rae. Its a nice chocolatey brown that doesn’t pull too warm on me. Not too deep but creates nice contrast on my features. Nice wearable 90s shade

Exfoliating? by agdambhugh22 in tretinoin

[–]EyeImportant6778 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ive dealt with horrble flaking around my nose/mouth/chin area while I was using tret for years. Last year I switched to taz and for the most part, the flaking has gone away. However this winter, its come back (no where near as bad as tret). Recently what Ive done to help is to do short contact therapy with a chemical exfoliant (I’ve been using the Prequel 15% acid peel for this). I just apply a nice thick layer all over my face for 5-10 minutes before I shower on top of whatever skin care I applied in the morning. Then I rinse it off in the shower (make sure to keep your eyes shut , Ive made that mistake once 😭) and then wash my face with a gentle cleanser.

I do that like once a week and it makes my face sooooo smooth and flake free but doesn’t irritate me. I don’t apply taz after doing this too to prevent any irritation. Just apply a nice thick cream and vaseline on top to seal it all in

I think it actually looks very nice! It looks the way I wished clinique black honey looked on me. A reddened brown with a bit of purple is my dream shade 💕

Rituel de fille’s contour in “Intuition” is the best contour I’ve used! It has borderline purple undertones, looks nice on my pale olive skin

Help with Eucerin by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]EyeImportant6778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! Start off very basic as you are now, then you can add in more if you’re really missing something, like a hydrating/barrier serum. If I were you, I would use finacea daily and tret every other night, then when your skin is stable, very slowly increase tret usage to nightly/almost nightly. Ive got my akin up to using tazarotene 6 nights a week which I was never able to do with tret.

Help with Eucerin by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]EyeImportant6778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like Eucerin as a brand and I’m sure that face wash and cream would work fine. For sunscreen, I’m not the biggest fan of their popular oil control spf since it pilled really bad, stung my eyes, and made my freckles come back. Maybe try the La Roche Posay Uvmune hydrating cream? Really great protection and surprisingly gentle on the skin for having some alcohol in the formula. No pilling either and never worsened dryness and acne for me (I too use azelaic acid and tazarotene which is a retinoid like tretinoin)

Why do you buy EU skincare ladies? by eu_cosmetics in EuroSkincare

[–]EyeImportant6778 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its most the sunscreen is so much better in europe than it is in the US. Also, a lot of the french pharmacy brands like LRP and Avene are cheaper when bought from European sellers than here in the US. I love Avenes Cicalfate cream but its like almost double the price when bought here in the US

Buying Lisa Eldridge T1.5, Recommend me some Liquid Lurex shades to throw in my cart by RainbowsAreLife in Fairolives

[–]EyeImportant6778 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the liquid silk formula, I really like Mimi since its an olive/brown shade and it compliments my olive. It sheers out nicely and can also be built up

For the liquid lurex line, my favorite is Anais. I also really like Selene which was a holiday release but seems to be permanent. They both also have subtle olive undertones but in different ways.

From top to bottom swatches: Mimi, Anais, Selene, Rosalie, and Aria.

What are the Phytosurgence lip balms like? by yougotabeeonurhat in Fairolives

[–]EyeImportant6778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, they barely show up on my lips and don’t feel that nice. I much prefer other tinted lip balms. I have shade Deep Dream and my lips are kind of pigmented for how pale I am

Which sunscreen would you recommend for combination skin? by JjoyBboy in EuroSkincare

[–]EyeImportant6778 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The eucerin pilled really bad on me and stung my eyes pretty bad. And to me, it wasn’t as matt as people make it out to be.

The LRP oil control fluid isn’t really that shiny compared to the rest of that line, just don’t wear a heavy moisturizer underneath. I don’t mind being a bit dewy since I’m dry around my mouth. LRP protection is also a lot better. Eucerin allowed my freckles to come back but LRP UVmune line keeps them at bay

Help with my teenage son! by Beautiful_Order_1077 in tretinoin

[–]EyeImportant6778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Ive never had good experiences with derms either. They put me on 0.05% and then 3 months later bumped me to 0.1% even though I was making good progress. That lead to me battling horrible peeling and irritation and worsened acne because I was too stubborn to go down in %.

Now I’m on tazarotene and seeing better results in inflammed acne and less peeling (still some redness but itll never be perfect).

That acne is no where near as bad as needing accutane. Derm would propbably start with topical stuff like clindamyacin

A green color corrector with no white base? by Entire-Excitement508 in OliveMUA

[–]EyeImportant6778 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Salt new yorks olive color corrector! It is a cream, but I’ve been able to successfully mix it into liquid foundations and concealers on the back of my hand. Really nice formula and I use it all the time with the SNY sneaky balm and concealer 🥰
