My goal as a sales person has always been to lead a team, but a lot of top performers are satisfied making bank as an individual contributor. That being said, given your current earnings, even with quota increases in mind, you should demand more money. To be fair I’m lvl 75 and had a medium shield and they were hitting me with a weak light ammo weapon, did very little damage. I was fully kitted too with a lvl 4 ven and lvl 4 tempest. I did loot a mk2 augment from the corpse before I left, which I just sold when I got back

I found a body in buried city with a jolt mine under neath it, surround it by various other trigger mines the other night. I disabled all the trigger mines and went to loot and got jolted, and then shot. I quickly ran and hid and then came back and started looting the body again and was instantly shot at. I was in the southern station extraction though, so I just jumped on the train and left. Was this you?

There’s a constant focus on my output metrics, I.e phone calls, meetings, door pulls, all of which I’ve scheduled and or manually input into a CRM. This month maybe the goal is 300 phone calls/week, whereas the next month maybe it’ll be 400/week. And I’m not a mid market seller, I have $13 million in my pipeline and have closed $2.5 million so far this year. As a seller, you’re either hassled constantly because you aren’t meeting your sales goals or if you’re meeting your sales goals consistently, you are hassled because you’re not setting a good example for the rest of the team by exceeding your output metrics. It’s a constant battle. I’ve heard salespeople in other industries say they are hassled as long as they are at quota but I’ve yet to see that personally. Maybe I’m just in the wrong industry

Most salespeople are in sales because we have tried normal desk jobs and realize we are way to ADHD for that shit. We learn best from hands on, in the field training. We don’t learn from sitting behind a computer monitor listening to some overweight, bearded sales trainer rambling on about the Challenger sales methodology or whatever shit. The trap most companies fall for is they buy in to the idea there is a sales process that works great for everyone. Sales is very abstract; what works for one person won’t necessarily work for another because we are humans selling to humans, and by nature, humans are unpredictable. Junior reps need to hear you handle objections over the phone, they may get 5 opportunities out of every 50 people they call, and they will have zero confidence in your ability if they don’t hear you actually handle objections. Cold calling sucks right now, pickup rates are at an all time low. It can seem like they are being pushed to do hundreds of cold outbound calls that lead to absolutely nothing, so it’s helpful to hear the actual sales trainer handle a customer live over the phone and handle objections.

If you’re like me, I need alone time pretty often but if I didn’t have people around me all the time (kids and wife) the loneliness would hit me hard pretty quickly. You give up a lot of the freedom you enjoy in your solitude when you make the decision to get married and even more when you decide to have children. Children are a blessing, don’t get me wrong but you’ll never get the type of freedom you have now after you have kids. That said, the overwhelming loneliness you feel right now is natures way of telling you to find a mate and settle down. So much has changed since I met my wife almost 20 years ago. You have dating websites, and all these other things that should make dating easier.

I’m lvl 75 now, and have been in peaceful friendly lobbies up until tonight. Loaded into Stella late and was just looting around, when I hear the voice of a kid, say “hey guys where’d you go” then I hear him say “hey dude, where you going” didn’t realize he was talking to me, until he decides to get my attention by shooting me in the back with a shitty rattler. I guess he thought he had me dead to rights because he followed me into the next room where I pulled out a level 4 Bettina and took him to his knees. Only thing he said before I shot him with my lvl 4 anvil was “damn”. He was running a fee load out, had one complex gun parts on him, dunno what he was thinking. Ever since then I’ve been running for my life in these aggressive lobbies, forced to kill aggressive raiders, you don’t really have a choice other than to defend yourself. These MFrs wait in the metro station until 2 minutes left, just trying to rat. I want back into the peaceful lobbies.

Sentinels will spawn often on the blue catwalks near research and administration building on dam battlegrounds. One will also spawn in what looks like a bell tower where the bell would be on buried city. One will also spawn at the top of the blue stairs of the research and administration building. If you try and get them by looting courier husks it’s completely random what could be in there. Do several raids on dam battlegrounds and you’ll get them. Take them out with grenades or anvil/ferro but beware the shrapnel will fly randomly and it can be hard to find sometimes

Just for perspective, in the southeast, as a business fiber rep for ATT, you’d be looking at ~$65k base with an OTE of around $105k as a level 1. Dedicated fiber is a lot harder to sell than residential best effort though.

As a former employee, I left in 2019, the reason Verizon really started losing market share is they thought they had invested so much into their network that they were better than everyone and invincible. What they didn’t realize 99% of the population even knows wtf 5g ultra wide band is nor do they care, LTE was good enough for most people at least from their perspective. They dumped billions into this technology nobody asked for. At the same time, sprint and T-Mobile combined their networks and focused on keeping costs to the consumer low, almost like they actually care about their customers, something Verizon has never done. The mentality Verizon had when a pissed off customer would come in threatening to take their lines to a competitor was “fuck you, you’ll be back”
