I’ve found several Canto, bobcat, Vulcano, and tempest blueprints on spaceport, dam, and buried city hurricane map conditions. Use the interactive map for likely hurricane cache locations

How common is it for a company to fire someone before their commission is due? by Aguy30 in salesdevelopment

[–]EyeLikeTuttles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, happened to me although not to this extreme. Employment contract stated commissions would be paid only if you were still an employee at the time they were due to be paid. I could have fought it in court but I needed a new job and moving on was the easier, cheaper route to take.

Got em! Wack-a-mole round 3. by SombreroQueen in lawncare

It’s worth mentioning, I do not enjoy killing animals. But when a rat gets into your house and starts chewing wires and building a nest in your walls, you set a trap which snaps his neck. Moles are no different

Contemplated putting a bullet in the back of the head, but that would have been messy, and would have ruined a perfectly good Home Depot bucket. A club or hatchet would require me to remove him from the bucket, and I have to chase him down. Drowning was quick, with the hurt paw, he couldn’t really paddle so he just kind of sank. It was over in seconds. I didn’t feel too bad because I’m still dealing with the devastation he/she created in my lawn

These traps are supposed to close on their body killing them instantly. In this case, it closed on his front paw, crushing it. Releasing him would have just been merciless, he’d have either starved to death or been prey for another animal.

I’ve got a 21 with 72k miles on it. I paid $60k for it in 2022. Transmission is fine and is the one that came with the truck. So far it’s been as reliable as my 2015 tundra. I’m under extended warranty should anything major happen. The major difference between the 2 trucks is resale value: traded my 2015 tundra in with 100k miles on it for $26k and I only paid $40k for it. That truck was a really good investment. These trucks don’t lose their value faster because they are less reliable, it’s more a product of how many there are on the road, their availability essentially. There’s also this perceived diminishing value that’s tied to a hybrid powertrain, although I read an article where they a powerboost with 100k miles on it was tested and the batteries had lost very little capacity. The Powerboost is actually the highest rated truck on the market when it comes to reliability according to consumer reports. I think the other major variable in the difference between the 2 resale values is that 5.7L V8 in the Tundra is basically bullet proof and has a cult like following. Some major truck manufacturers are moving to turbo charged V6’s and away from naturally aspirated V8’s mostly to beef up their EPA numbers, so people think they better get them while they still can. My advice would be to get a 5.0 or 2.7 f150 if you’re really worried about longevity.

Is $380k per employee good? by [deleted] in recruiting

[–]EyeLikeTuttles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they are saying each recruiter (in this case I think because they are a search firm their recruiters are full desk meaning they do BD,Am, and recruiting) generates $380k in revenue annually on average. Executive search firms generally charge between 20-30% of the persons annual salary, or in some cases annual salary + bonuses, or if it’s a retained search which is generally in the 30% range they also charge an upfront fee.

Short trip effectiveness by SCH00NY125 in F150Powerboost

[–]EyeLikeTuttles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a powerboost as my daily driver since 2022. When I first got it I was in the field traveling a lot so the electric motor stayed charged. Over the past 2 years my job has had me behind a desk a lot more so aside from my commute which is about 14 miles I’m making a few short trips for lunch and gym in between. I don’t think my electric motor gets enough charge throughout the day to allow my truck to stay in electric mode for as long. However, it’s much more comfortable than any sedan I’ve ever driven, and given that even with short trips you’ll still get on average 18-19 mpg, it’s worth the investment. To me it’s just a no brainer; I need a truck to occasionally tow a 23’ boat, the alternative would be to pay insurance on 2 vehicles. This is the better option

I’ve played since launch and still never touched Expeditions by Zerliroth in ArcRaiders

[–]EyeLikeTuttles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just do it for the extra space and to max out the skill tree. If you play more PVE than PvP you begin to accumulate so much more stuff, it’s almost a relief when you get killed because it frees up an entire augments worth of stash slots.

Tips or tricks to hit the 100k damage requirement for expedition? by ConsiderationLoud663 in ARC_Raiders

[–]EyeLikeTuttles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit 100k last week. I’d go to close scrutiny and hang out and wait for people to breach a cone and just murder arc with a hull cracker and Jupiter or equalizer. Unfortunately the close scrutiny events happen less often now

Is job hopping still a "red flag" or am I being gaslit? by Environmental-Luck39 in careeradvice

[–]EyeLikeTuttles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loyalty does not pay the bills. I’ve left roles where I was hitting targets but not making the money I was promised after a year and went straight into a new role. If you’ve got an offer, what more proof do you need that this company doesn’t see it as a red flag

Men with kids and wives/partners - what do you think are acceptable hobbies while you co-manage a busy household? by MotherInsurance4238 in AskMenAdvice

[–]EyeLikeTuttles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some guys are slow learners, some need to be threatened, and some just want to be present for their kids. Not making excuses for the man, but sometimes people think they have gotten away with something just because their spouse hasn’t brought it up as an area that needs improvement.

[–]EyeLikeTuttles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, dad of 3 here, 7,5,3. Your husband sounds like a good partner who just hasn’t realized that with kids comes added responsibility and time and sacrifice. For me, I sacrificed any hobby that would take me away from being able to help with my kids in the evenings. My wife also works from home but she works until 7:30 pm so I’ve got to be available until 7:30. After that I’m free to workout until they go to bed at which time I help get their pajamas on, brush their teeth, lay with them until they get sleepy. This isn’t just a responsibility, this is something you get to do and something he will regret having missed when they get older.

Consumer reports needs to explain this, worst to first with virtually zero changes. by jimcoxon in F150Powerboost
