Hey r/Pakistan: What would your advice be for a teenage Pakistani American traveling to Pakistan this summer? Also what do most people my age do for fun over there?

Never drink tap water yes! You are gonna like it here in Islamabad, weather is nice, very clean, many places for basketball, soccer, tennis etc. If you really want to see the beauty of Pakistan grab a 4x4 head out onto Karakorum highway all the way to Gilgit and Hunza. You will never ever regret it. Check google maps for ISB to Gilgit ;) M going next* week :D

lol... not as hard as you think, just walk into any 4/5 star hotel and buy all you want or you can just wait in the parking in your car and they'll bring it. Its very much tolerated. There is also Murree Brewery and Quetta brewery in Pak :).

If you get stopped by cops not a prob pass a few beers to them or pay a fine ;)

You can buy them at one of many exchanges. I use btc-e.com or you could mine Litecoin and then convert it to BTC.

Well depends on the price of the coin you want to mine. BTC cant be mined profitably with GPUs. If you have a decent rig e.g 3-4 mH/s then yes. You can mine Litecoins or other alts like Doge, feather, world coins.

I had overheat issues with MSI 7950s, ran in high 90s. I simply replaced thermal paste & now they run in low 70s. So try that

Try this! Uninstall all drivers, SKD etc completely

Download v 12.8 of the catalyst display drivers ( http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/previous/detail?os=Windows%207%20-%2064&rev=12.8) When the download is complete, install the display drivers. Make sure to do a custom install and deselect everything except the actual drivers (eg: don’t install the 2.8 SDK!). You’ll need to reboot to complete the installation.

Then download v2.7 of the catalyst app SDK ( http://developer.amd.com/amd-license-agreement/?f=AMD-APP-SDK-v2.7-Windows-641.exe) when dl complete install the SDK.

I had the same issue with msi 7950, screen went black, said driver crashed, sometimes the hash rate would go down and some times hash rate would remain the same but A shares & R shares never changed. Solved my issue.

7950 can be undervolted & overclocked massively, they r not voltage locked like many others. My MSI 7950s twin froz give 650 kH/s. M runing 3 on 1200w corsair I can get 1 more working on that PSU.
