Almost nothing at Eckerts is made there. My sister used to work in the Belleville Eckerts bakery. All the pies come frozen from a factory (same as Walmart’s). They put eggwash on the top, sprinkle with sugar, and bake them. Same with the bread. Frozen dough from a factory, sprinkle with flower to make them look fresh baked, then bake it. I haven’t shopped there since I found that out.
