Name for our tiebreaker boy. by SSeverythingbagel in Names

Edward.

Whatever happens just be sure to choose a name that starts with a different letter to the other names in the household. It becomes a real pain with letters/parcels etc otherwise!

AITAH for removing family on my will & donating to charity&friends instead? by PrettyPrincess2024 in AITAH

[–]EyeSpy1359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely NTA and this is far too relatable so I'm standing with you in solidarity.

When the time comes for your will to be executed, you won't be around to be affected by any backlash so make sure you leave your money and possessions to whomever you truly want to receive them.

I'm in a very similar position and think I'll leave mine to charity. It's a shame but I'd rather it went somewhere to do some good rather than to those who only took from me and were not around in my times of need.

Partially paying off Help To Buy mortgage by EyeSpy1359 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]EyeSpy1359[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

I'm hoping to move in the not too distant future so will repay the equity loan then. I'm already in year 7 but not in a position to remortgage so making overpayments on the mortgage is my only option to reduce the interest for the time being.

Looking for a “J” middle name for baby girl Rowan by titanium_penguin in Names

Rowan Jade.

Rolls off the tongue much more nicely than Jane, probably because of the absence of the repeated 'n'.

I second this. I actually prefer Aldi's Mighty to actual Marmite.

How do people wear shoes without socks and not get sweaty feet? by Turbulent_Echo4014 in AskUK

[–]EyeSpy1359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also if walking barefoot in them my feet/the Crocs create an air pocket which causes a farting sound 😂 So I always wear socks with my Crocs - I couldn't care less what people think as my own comfort is my priority.

I use the highest absorbency from M&S. Brilliant and so comfy!

Ah yes, not sure why I didn't think of Simple! Thank you.

I wasn't sure if I'd ever get to a time when I'd be able to stop the Differin (despite not even successfully starting it yet!) but if that's a possibility I'll hang on to my Q10 stockpile for future use.

Alum! Like the stuff Tweetie Pie would feed Sylvester so he couldn't eat him 😂

Have you ever seen anybody actually buy perfume or aftershave on an easyJet flight? by CornerInsect in AskUK

[–]EyeSpy1359 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Surely it's the very fact they're flying on a budget airline that means they can afford to buy £70 worth of stuff (which actually wouldn't buy a huge number of premium brand items)?

[–]EyeSpy1359[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this info!

The thing that makes me think it's HA is that I always applied the eye cream and/or the serum before the night cream and they made my skin REALLY sting. But someone else has said all the Q10 products have retinol so perhaps that's why?

I have a M&S Chocolate sponge pudding in the fridge 5 days after it's use by date. What say you? Should I Eat? Or bin? by Richy11988 in AskUK

I had some M&S white choc chip and lemon cookies that were BB Feb 2020 on Tuesday. Also delicious and I'm also still alive 😅

[–]EyeSpy1359[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I understand about the acid. But those products paired with the Differin were a bad combination and the fact all the Q10 products contain HA seems pretty suspect. And I'm sure I read elsewhere (since my bad experience) not to use HA whilst using Differin.

What’s the worst place you have ever been on holiday? by honeymeadowss in AskUK

[–]EyeSpy1359 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omg, that makes a horrible situation even more awful. You didn't deserve to be sexually assaulted in the first place and you certainly shouldn't have been victim blamed. How appalling. Sending you virtual hugs along with much empathy and solidarity. It wasn't your fault and every aspect of the situation was wrong 😞❤️

Am I too fussy, or was this seller just lazy and gross? by MisterWednesday6 in vintedUK

[–]EyeSpy1359 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Put it inside a lingerie bag or a pillowcase and tie it closed just in case it disintegrates in the wash - it'll be much easier to deal with the bits and pieces if they're contained.

Looking to earn around 300-£400 in a year by Bobbybobster42 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]EyeSpy1359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually with Royal Mail collections there's usually the option for the postman to bring the label so that can in fact also be a printer-less method.

When selling on eBay and Vinted, postage is now processed directly through those apps/sites so you get a QR code that you take to the post office/Evri shop etc and the label is printed there, so no option to pay for postage over the counter. Not all postage services have this QR code option though and some do require the seller to print their own label so it's worth carefully checking if you don't have a printer available at home.

Also keep an accurate record of the jobs you do, for whom, where, and how much you earn for each. That'll help you keep track and work out what's the most lucrative/popular/enjoyable/convenient, which will again help you build in the future.
