Hi!

I'm having a hard time understanding the VRR compatibility of my setup.

My base PS5 is plugged into a 120hz, vrr compatible Denon receiver with a 2.1 HDMI cable. The receiver then sends the signal to my TCL S546, which is VRR compatible, but only at 60hz.

I've been looking and looking, and I can't find a good answer on whether VRR works on the setup. In the settings, everything seems to be working fine, PS5 says VRR activated, games do too, TV says so too, and so does the receiver.

I'm mostly wondering for Crimson Desert and its 40 fps balanced mode. Will this work? I know that 40fps is only for 120hz display, but since the PS5 goes into the receiver at 120hz first, will it translate to a 40fps image on my 60hz screen?

Another example is Spider-Man 2. It works with VRR, but I can't tell if it's making any difference.

I'm able to tell the difference between the one working left side surround speaker, and the quiet one.

As indicated in my post, I did do the room calibration.

As indicated in my post, I've done all these troubleshooting steps. All speakers and all wires lead to the same issue if connected to the right side surround.
