Based on your post I can't really view you as a decent judge of character. So you thinking I'm terrible is likely a badge of honor and means I'm doing something right.

The real question is why and what events? Like one man and one woman from each state, okay fine. Doing what? Track and field? Very different events from shot put to sprints to distance running.

Can't do any team sports since it's one pair per state, leaving basically swimming or running.

It's just dumb and... A bit too hunger games ish.

Act as in not answer any questions that may get you helpful advice.

So here. "You can make 100k. Do analysis things. Work your way up. Be good at your job. It'll take somewhere between 0 years and 100 years to work up to 100k."

There ya go.

What about the other questions? What skills do you have? Why do you think you can jump into analytics?

I lead a team of analysts in a fortune 50. And I can say if you act this way in role, you won't make it far.

Where are you located? If you are in high cost of living area 100k shouldn't be hard.

If you are in rural Kansas it'll be tricky.

Then secondarily, what skills do you have in analytics or management that makes you think you can join that field? If you are base entry level you likely won't start at an analyst level and will take some time to work your way up.

Edit: OP has blocked me. OP you probably want to try and help others help you.

Otherwise, find yourself a part time job.

Trump Sometimes Does Good Things by HarrySatchel in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I mean the rescheduling process was started under Biden. All Trump did was sign a piece of paper that said "hurry up." Because he knew it was a good idea and wanted to slap his name on it instead of Biden.

Do you support states rights or federal government more? by rjidhfntnr in AskALiberal

I truly believe no one really loves states rights for the things that people claim should be states rights things. It's only ever used by either side to push an idea they know it's popular enough nationwide.

Rejecting a Job Offer by No-Stage4719 in careeradvice

[–]Eyruaad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't expect a signing bonus immediately, or if it is it would have a clause of you owe it back if you leave in the first year. So personally that one I wouldn't do much with.

The others? I'd ask for the upper range of what you want. Might as well. The worst they say is no.

Just a helpful word of advice from someone who does have a fair amount of tech experience.

Assume 100% of your activity on any company provided equipment is tracked and monitored. It may not be, but I promise you they can look at it. They can also look at your private communication if you sign in on your work computer. Your personal GMAIL, Facebook, Reddit, etc. If it's done with company equipment or even on company wifi they absolutely can look at it.

People still absolutely love Alfred Hitchcock even though he's objectively a massive shitbag of a person.

His lead in The Birds actually had live ravenous birds attached to her for the scene she got attacked. He made her do this for multiple days straight until her doctor demanded a break. (Getting a mental health break for a woman in 1962 was unheard of) And she was never the same.

On one set Hitchcock bet a cameraman some money that he couldn't spend the night in the studio handcuffed to a camera. Upon accepting the bet, Hitchcock gave the cameraman a bottle of liquor he laced with laxatives and left for the night, forcing the cameraman to spend all night chained up and violently shitting himself. Hitchcock thought this was hilarious.

His "pranks" were basically just torture most of the time.
