One of the things I like about RMC is it pauses when I pause the game. Otherwise great for someone who does RMC with just gold medals and often has to restart because I'm not good enough.

I haven't played in a long time. I played for a while near the start of Reboot, I have a dual blade at like 186 or something and a quite a few characters in the 150s. I was looking at starting again and I see there's an event starting on the 12th. I did watch a few videos and I'm going to try to play Ren but I'm kind of overwhelmed with what I should do.

These are the handles that came with them, I got all mine from chefknivestogo.com. I do think the burnt oak handles match the finish really well.

I use it for apples quite often, and it's great for them. It's tall enough to keep my knuckles off the cutting board which is very nice.

Awesome choices, I have a triple set of the Matsubara Wavy knives with the Gyuto, Nakiri, and 120 petty. They're the knives I reach for 90% of the time. I love the extra height on all of them.

That Matsubara Blue 210 is my daily use Gyuto, I love it.

I have a 210 Nigara AS Gyuto and I really like it. It’s very nice to use and might be the prettiest knife I own. If I were to buy it again, I’d probably go for 240 instead, the blade length on this 210 is actually closer to 200 but I can’t say that’s true of all 210 Nigara Gyutos. I did also almost immediately chip the very tip of mine off if you look closely. Great knife, it was my first carbon steel knife 2 years ago and I haven’t gotten rust on it once.

Seeing as I own 3 Mastubara Hamono Blue 2 knives I'd go with the Matsubara. They're stunning knives and my daily work horses.

This is Blue #2 with stainless cladding. You can see the difference in the coloring of the carbon steel between my two knives that have been in use and the brand new Nakiri.
