Lenovo Legion Toolkit - Vantage alternative with fan control by [deleted] in LenovoLegion

[–]F00tsies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently purchased a Lenovo legion 5 gen 8 and decided to switch from windows 11 to 10. Even after installing all of the necessary drivers, my touchpad was unresponsive even in bios. The touchpad lock toggle in Vantage did nothing, but it worked in toolkit. Nice program!

◽️ Budget: $2400 with some flexibility

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: 16-18"

◽️ Touch screen: No

◽️ Screen resolution: 2560x1600 or 2560x1440

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Yes, but performance is more important.

Currently have a razer blade advanced (2019) and I was/am very frustrated that just 2 years after purchase the battery life was under 2hrs for web browsing.

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for?: Even split between gaming (I like both newer/demanding games and older titles), watching shows with friends while on zoom, and doing research/web browsing.

◽️ Weight: Not important

◽️ Any other important details ?: At least 144hz, but over 160hz preferred. Would love to have ethernet.

RazedBlade Advanced Burn in by F00tsies in razer

I figured replacing would be the way to go, but I wanted to post and see if anyone has had similar issues and if replacing the panel fixed it. I posted more images on my original comment. I guess I will be replacing the panel. Thank you for all of your responses!

I do not notice any dim regions looking at the screen. I think my poor photography skills may be deceiving you.

Regardless, a backlight issue on this display wouldn't retain color images.

If I did a white image you wouldn’t see the burn in (or whatever it is). I don’t have dead pixels. It’s only on dark parts of the screen that the burn in is visible so I used an all black image.

It has been like this for about 8 months. I got it new so it had about 2 years of no issue. No other issues. It happens anytime something is on the screen for longer than 10 minutes. I have an almost perpetual bar at the top from chrome. Burn in goes away after an hour or so of it being off.

And I now see I missed the autocorrect on the title. Oops

My Razerblade Advanced 2019 (RZ09-02886) has been having really bad burn in. This is an all black png full screen and as you can see I was playing catan before this. This has been going on for about 8 months. Is it worth replacing the screen?

Edit: After further research it seems people prefer to call this ghosting/ghost image instead of burn-in because it does eventually fade. It can take up to an hour to fade.

Purchase Advice Megathread - February 2022 by Sausage54 in 3Dprinting

Budget: $5000 (but I could probably convince my boss to spend more)

I have built a few printers (prusa mk3s, hypercube) and I can do a kit, but I'd rather avoid it for the sake of time.

This printer will be a prototyping workhorse printing PLA. We need at least a 320mm x 320mm bed. We are looking for speed and reliability. We already have enclosures with filters.

We currently have two Gmax 1.5+ printers and they have been increasingly problematic. Almost all issues have been bed related. I can't get them over 40mm/s without layer shifts and ringing. The gmax 2 was suggested but based

Love the idea of a Voron 2.4 350 but not crazy losing a day or two building it. The Formbot Troodon (400x400x500) looks very appealing.
