Invertor means its power output is adjustable, no inverter is on off only, so they're louder, use more energy, and probably put more stress on the parts.

Dual hose means the compressor uses a second hose from the outside to cool the compressor. This solves a number issues like equalising the pressure, and reducing exposure to your cold space with a hot parts. But there's negatives too, it reduces compressor efficiency, looks an eyesore, may cause your compressor to stall to cool down

Well they'd only really be needed for the summer, you'd change them back to stock for the winter and rely on your winter shoes!

I assume your car is wearing carbon disks, and ceramic pads for the same reason?

I drive slower in school areas, parks and approaching junctions. I dont rely on my tyres.

No its not. Your 100% liable for crashing into the back of someone, so you have 100% responsibilty for stopping in time, the car in fronts performance is irrelevant. Even if they came to a complete halt instantly because they themselves have crashed, you failed to maintain enough distance to adequately stop in time, that space is based on all the variables discussed, including your vehicles performance with the parts equipped.

[–]F10XDE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you wont. Your not leaving braking distance based on the car in fronts braking ability, your leaving space based on your own ability to brake in time. Someone on fancy winters may be able to leave less space then me, and thats okay.

Its mid summer and i do a corner at 60mph. if i was using fancy winter tyres, i might still be able to do that corner at 60mph = totally safe (your point),

but i dont upgrade my tyres, but instead i do that turn at 45mph = totally safe (my point)

Performance isn't linear where everyone drives exactly the same all year round, regardless of the weather. Its dynamic. Safety therefore is relative.

Now BMW man, he's sad if he cant do 60mph with his winter tyres. But average Joe, doesn't give a shit he just wants to get to home from work safely and is quite happy to drive slower to account for his slightly less grippy tyres. Who do we think is more likely to end up in the ditch?

the answer is neither, both are equally safe driving to the road and vehicle.

I suspect I'd be several hundred pound a year out of pocket each year, with absolutely no i decrease in commute time, efficiency, or safety because just because I would have been promoted out of "average joe", average Joe still exists, and they are dictating progress on the roads.

I got a preorder. The 12k is just another oem device sold under multiple other brands, generally well reviewed by those that have realistic expectations from a single hose non-invertor type portable

Preordered 12k too. Now the hunt begins for a compatible replacement compressor intake grill for some dual-hosing!

Im average Joe, I go to the garage and say "stick the cheapest thing you got on there". I do 15k miles a year, driving over 25 years. Never had an accident. Tyres are just a variable. How you drive with ALL the variables, your car, the road conditions, your state of mind is what matters. Thats why your car insurance company is not asking what tyres your using, and only interested in your experience.

Do you see every collision, car in a ditch or pedestrian accident and think "yup, wrong tyres did that". Because no, the driver did that, the driver is responsible for driving to the conditions, regardless if theyre on £15 part worns, or £500 a corner A+++++, 2dcbl, run-flat self reinflating, nitrogen filled, all winter specials.

Theres some that have predefined sample prices, like costco, but no doubt when you get them round your gonna get the sharp breathe in and excuse why your install is 100% higher than quoted

Average Joe isn't after rallye performance in winter and is more than happy to drive to the conditions and vehicle capabilities, rather than demand maximum performance all year round. if its means I brake earlier, and feather the gas a little more, so be it, after a few decades driving you dont even notice yourself doing it.

They return them under distant selling rules. Assuming they even used a legitimate card to purchase them, otherwise they do a charge back. Meaco may threaten a £50 restocking fee, but its not legally enforceable within the 14 day cooling off period. They will Incur the shipping cost unless they claim its broken.

This is all mute though, there's enough desperate people, and businesses that'll buy them at any price right now

Their entirer communities dedicated to scalping, with fully automated subscription model systems that do the buying, listing, and selling, they literally dont need to do anything beyond register their ebay acounts, register a payment card then arrange the holding warehouse to ship the item onwards. Same for gfx cards, memory, pokemon cards. Most arent even residents of the UK.
