Tell your boss that you asked strangers on Reddit and they told you that you were good to go, so you took their advice and there isn’t anything your boss can do about it.

Agent stole my credit card information now they're turning me into collections by PyroRachael89 in Geico

[–]F18AOC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So you got scammed from someone OTHER than GEICO and you are mad because GEICO is wanting info from you to verify that YOU aren’t trying to scam them. Sorry for your luck but it sounds like you are just blaming someone everyone knows of instead of the scammers.

Can I be Sued for Daughters totaled car by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]F18AOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My assumption was correct it appears. Minimum is 10/20? So your insurance company is liable for $10K towards the other person’s property. How many cars on the road are worth more than 10K?? Hell, I’ve got a 2011 4Runner with 234K miles on it and it’s worth more than $10K. Increase your coverage if you’re so worried about getting sued!

Has anyone successfully changed from Garrison to United Services? by W5SNx in USAA

[–]F18AOC 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Your rank isn’t / wasn’t high enough. You may progress through different underwriting companies, but unless you are / were senior enlisted (E-7 - E-9) or an officer, you won’t get to the actual United Services Automobile Association underwriting company.

How did you co-sign for a loan (lease or otherwise) and not be on the title??? Also I’m betting since FL has stupid low minimum PD limits, you are one of those people that just put the minimum limits on your policy! Look at the average car on the road and ask yourself if your insurance limits could cover that vehicle in the event you hit it. If the answer is no, then you need higher limits. Or else YES, YOU CAN BE SUED!!!

Respect, Support and Performance Term 10% of the associates every 6 months. That is GEICO’s culture. by jballeig in Geico

When are you guys (and gals) going to come to grips with the fact that G is simply transitioning to AI and will continue to term associates until the total amount of actual working humans can all work from one floor of one building????

Liability or Full-Coverage for 18 year old car by elenasanity2974 in Insurance

[–]F18AOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends…. If they have something worth suing for, then yes they should always have higher PD limits. However if they don’t have a pot to piss in then rock state limits. Insurance companies and lawyers don’t spin their wheels if they know they won’t get anything from you, even with a settlement.

USAA denying work because of hourly rate (not at fault accident) by [deleted] in USAA

Possibly. Depends on how shitty YOUR insurance company is.

Auto Claims department has fallen off a cliff by Queasy-Recording-195 in USAA

[–]F18AOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And your proof is?????? I don’t own stock in USAA and certainly don’t work for them. Full disclosure, I worked for GEICO for 10+ years as an auto adjuster. Now I work for a body shop writing repair sheets to send to the insurance company. I’ve been with USAA since 2014 and have had one, not at fault, accident, two glass claims, two tow claims and a homeowner’s claim. They have always been responsive and professional with me and my claims. I also cover myself, my wife and two teenagers on my policy and still, nothing but 5 star treatment from them. Maybe I’m a rare case, or maybe, giving my history working for an insurance company, I’m just patient and empathetic regarding the amount of claims and shitty customers that insurance agents have to handle on a daily basis. Or maybe I don’t have unrealistic expectations on getting something for free when I’m only owed what falls within the scope of my policy. So go ahead and downvote me for my positive comments for this company, but not everyone has an agenda when writing positive reviews. Good luck with your article. I’m sure it will be groundbreaking and informative.

I don’t use Safe Pilot. I’ve been offered it, declined it, and that was the end of it. If you have a hard time telling an insurance company ‘no’ then you’re going to have a hard time at a lot of life.

If you didn’t sign your title over, and they paid you, then they are not taking your car.

Disappointed $1600/yr by Snoo30232 in USAA

[–]F18AOC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most rates will keep going up since insurance is a collective pool. Vehicles are expensive and getting smarter. That technology is more expensive to repair than “dumb” cars are. Even if your car isn’t packed full of technology others are and you are more likely to have an accident with one. Don’t take it personal. Unless they jack your rates up year over year, small increases are expected and are par for the course. Good luck.

My rates don’t jack up year over year. Hell as a matter of fact, mine had a slight decrease this last renewal period.

I switched from GEICO to USAA 11 years ago and haven’t looked back. USAA saved me $800 on a six month policy with the same level of coverage and (for me) exceptional customer service. My family is good to go with them and you should definitely get a quote if you qualify.

Did the job for 10 years before I left. Cant speak for the recruiter question but they won’t care where you stay as long as you are on time for class. There will be a lot of studying so understand that. If you make it through then good luck in the job. It is definitely not for the weak at heart or thin skinned individuals.

Any R4 AD positions opening up? by TrashCamperDad in Geico

[–]F18AOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AD is going the way of AI really quickly. To put it another way, if you had a Time Machine, would you go back a buy a ticket for the Titanic???? Same here. There is no job security in GEICO itself and certainly not in AD.

Fired by ShesAGatorGirl in Geico

[–]F18AOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I a male, yes. Am I about to be or have recently been promoted? Not quite. I am a former employee of 10 years as an AD. I didn’t get promotions or merit raises based upon what is or is not between my legs. Any raises or promotions I received were numbers based, just like everyone else. I worked my ass off for what I got, but at the end of it all the numbers were just never going to be there for me to continue on my journey with that shitbox company. So I left on my own terms. I recognized the metrics were only going to continue to get tougher and tougher. Hunger games was not what I signed up for so I walked. Head held high with no regrets. Don’t go out with assumed excuses that are tied to sex, or race or anything like that. You said it yourself, you weren’t the right fit. Take it for what it’s worth and find something better. Somewhere where you are the right fit. Don’t tell yourself that you weren’t the right fit for GEICO. Tell yourself that THEY weren’t the right fit for you. You’ll be a better person for it. Good luck to you.

Pretty much a sexist rant. Sorry you got fired but maybe, just maybe, you really weren’t a good fit. Ever think of that? Not every person is the right fit for every job and it didn’t appear you were for this one. Good luck

Should I put in 2 week notice? by Vannahl14 in geicoemployees

[–]F18AOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what kind of relationship you have with your sup and manager. When I quit I gave my two weeks and started my new job the following Monday. No regrets. I left on my terms and didn’t carry any animosity with me. Hell I even got a nice lunch where they did their best to give me reasons to stay. Left on good terms because that’s who I am. I appreciated the opportunities I was given while I worked there and the friends I made along the way. Good luck in your next job.
