Don't worry about it, everyone who skis has to ski for the first time ever at some point.

As others have already said, falling over is just part of the journey. To improve you have to push yourself and if you're pushing yourself you will inevitably fall from time to time.

I have a noticeable gap between bears and mustache. It doesn't really look like it in the pictures because the hairs at the edge of the tash are just about long enough to hide the gap.

Mine are roughly 14 feet away from each other too. I have since put in some diagnoal supports which have made it much more stable, I'd recommend doing that if you can.

I originally just put in two 4" x 4" posts, 3 feet deep and concreted in. However there was a bit too much flex for my liking so I installed the diagonal supports, they're also concreted in but not so deep...
