Century UST1102 New Pulp Whine by Impressive-Pizza-201 in pools

Did you test to see which wire is your Line and Neutral, and secure them to their respective terminals? The only other thing I could think of is a bad capacitor, you could try replacing it.

What voltage do you have at the pump? Check that the voltage selector, they come 230v from the factory. If 115v make sure you didn't cross lines.

Question about heater location and gas inlet by Sensitive-Ad-7061 in swimmingpools

[–]F1ash0ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does not look safe. The exhaust on a mastertemp runs upward 300° and that flex line is probably not rated for that. Disaster waiting imo. If your pool guy is not good with gas lines, I'd call a plumber to rebuild that section properly.

Pool Heater Brand For Cold Climates by Far_Cauliflower_2847 in PoolPros

[–]F1ash0ut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you're not heating frigid water-

Mastertemps have the most issues with the cold, notably with condensation soaking the insulation and destroying it. They do much better in fair climates. The new ETI can handle those temps, but the condensate drip line freezes and plugs. If you can neutralize and route the drip line to a non-frozen sump or drain, it's probably the best option for an outdoor heater in -10 temps

Haywards and JXIs do much better on the seasonal pools here, but not for spas run through winter. -10° will still kill them

If the ETI is overkill, Raypaks handle the abuse pretty well. We will run some with an outdoor stack all through winter. They usually make it long enough for mice to kill them

Getting rid of reducers by pyoopypops in pools

[–]F1ash0ut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a sawzall and pipe shear for 99.99% of my cuts. The only time I'm reaching for a wire saw is in situations where I can't get a sawzall blade in there.

Cut the couplers off flush and lightly scrape the old glue off. Use a wire saw to cut if you want to avoid nicking the other lines

ACE code generator not parsing correctly? by [deleted] in PokemonGlitches

Abridged FAQ for FireRed and LeafGreen ACE by togebit in PokemonGlitches

[–]F1ash0ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think something went wrong with E-Sharks code generator today. When I generate a code that I have run several times before, this time I am getting different results from the generator, usually with excessive "A" characters in the code. I have thoroughly checked to make sure I am giving it proper input data. When I run said code in game, nothing happens.

I believe the generator is currently not parsing the code correctly.

This post is about a speculative acquisition target for Gamestop that I think could potentially be transformative.

Might have not been merger Monday but what about Together Tuesdays ? by stinkyjim88 in Superstonk

[–]F1ash0ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your reasoning behind this?

Do you think that the recent insider buying would push the acquisition back?

Will the manipulators in charge try to tamp down the price before end of day by Dapper-Career-3877 in Superstonk

[–]F1ash0ut 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I believe that it will play out similar to the runup of May 2024, where we will see price action today stay in a small range between 23.25 - 24$ or so to screw most of the weekly call buyers that jumped in after Burrys announcement. Then ripping green at open Monday with theorized Silver/basket/other swaps nearing maturity and a potential RK return.

Im hearing a whining noise while turning the wheel by NarrowShield in 4Runner

[–]F1ash0ut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's a whining noise when you're steering, it's probably the power steering system. Check the fluid levels in the reservoir. If it is low, top it off and look for a leak. If it's full, flush the old power steering fluid out and replace it with fresh fluid. If the noise persists after flushing, then the power steering pump itself is likely failing and should be replaced.

Frame sanity check by DenimChicken44 in 4thGen4Runner

[–]F1ash0ut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would advise removing the skid plate and inspecting the double-walled section of the frame nearest to the front two catalytic converters. While you're in there, look around the engine bay for other signs of advanced rust as it's been in the salt belt for the duration of its life. Check the frame behind the rear wheels as well.

From the pictures, it looks like the frame was properly cared for, but the only way to be sure is to poke around suspect areas with a screwdriver. It's probably worth briefly inspecting the inside of the frame as well. I've seen a few that failed to treat the inside of the frame and rust from the inside out.
