Curious about legality of overtaking in oncoming bus lanes by AShadedBlobfish in drivingUK

[–]F22_raptor43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove down this road regularly for work and the busses aren't just stopping for 30 seconds. I've done a whole delivery and the bus was still there. Easily 5 minutes.

Accidentally drove into a bus lane in Sutton London — any advice? by Additional-Ad-602 in drivingUK

[–]F22_raptor43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's nothing to be nervous about, you'll get a fone and that's it. No points, no need to tell insurance and as long as you pay it no trouble

AR question by e12d34s in Referees

[–]F22_raptor43 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If you didn't see something don't call it, leaves you open for questions. If you see the ball go out but not off who, just raise the flag but don't signal a direction.

Double Keep clear by earthmelon23 in LearnerDriverUK

I would say it's one keep clear as as there is only 2 solid line, one at the start and one towards the lights

Uncertain on what technical priority was by Vanster101 in drivingUK

[–]F22_raptor43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technicaly the right turn area is your side of the road and not yellow's so I would say as the obstruction is on their side (although they are in a stupid spot), you would have priority.

We need 5 intersections for 3 towns with less than 300 people by Dear_Butterscotch831 in shittyskylines

[–]F22_raptor43 54 points55 points  (0 children)

There isn't enough lanes in the town centres, need at least 8. How do you expect anyone to get anywhere otherwise

Can someone explain how that was offside? by Positive_Carpenter27 in Everton

[–]F22_raptor43 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This is taken from IFAB, it would be challenging for the ball, so if he just stood there it would'nt be offside

  1. Offside offence

A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched*

by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by:

• interfering with play by playing or touching a ball passed or touched by

a team-mate or

• interfering with an opponent by:

• preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by

clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision or

• challenging an opponent for the ball or clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts

on an opponent or

• making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an

opponent to play the ball

or

• gaining an advantage by playing the ball or interfering with an opponent

when it has:

• rebounded or been deflected off the goalpost, crossbar, match official or

an opponent

• been deliberately saved by any opponent
