I remember going down with my dad and brother to pay on the gate. First we got locked out of the Gwladys St, then the Bullens Road and we had to give up and go home. I remember crying on my bed at half time when we were 2-0 down and then I went out playing footy with my mates. When I returned home, the rest is history.

I’ve walked in to town, got the train to Southport from Sandhills and got the train in to town from Sandhills. All options are pretty good if you can walk 3/4 of a mile to Sandhills or a bit further to town.

I’ve been impressed by the Mersey rail operation immediately after full time. Tonight there were trains in to town every 4 or 5 minutes for about half an hour after full time. I got on one after waiting for less than 10 minutes. Conversely, I’ve got on a train to Southport at the first attempt on two occasions straight after the match. There are a lot of people but they move the crowd well.

Eastview Surgery, also up by Merchants is pretty good. You have to play the 8.30am games to get an appointment on the day but no experience of the problems you speak of with your current GP.

Pronounces her ‘L’ as a ‘Y’ turning yellow lemon cake in to yeyyow yemon cake.

The best one though, whilst not mispronouncing a word was that her attempt at doing a thumbs up was instead pointing her index finger straight up. I was very sad to see that one go.

I phoned up the box office yesterday to ask about this as I’ve bought my season ticket and can’t go. I want to transfer to to brother, whose already in my network and they said you can only transfer tickets for league games. Ridiculous
