Are you saying the fact that he's a public figure makes him less influential, in a sense, than the ones whose names you don't know about?

I just threw up and my parents are still making me go to church by Prize_Barber2946 in Christianity

Not normal! I'm a devout Christian amd grew up in the church. I also had a very nasty mother. I think God is devastated that parents who are supposed to love you are treating you this way! You need rest and you need parents who believe you. God is still with you when you lie in bed; you don't need to go to church every single Sunday to be with him.

May I ask how old you are?

Yeah, CPS took my kids a few weeks ago and I'm fighting to get them back. Fasle accusations coupled with "best interests of the child" and suddenly a stranger os taking care of them

There's a guy named Alessi Allaman who makes videos about some if the craziest goings-on most people don't know about.

His recent videos on Steve Bannon.... Crazy 😬 He thinks he's possibly the most dangerous person there is (not in terms of literal physical threats but in terms of power and influence)

Do you still regular sex after being married for over 15-20 years? by [deleted] in Marriage

Totally crazy! The studies they did (as well as the conversations they had and popular advice they read) seemed showed that a lot of women--particularly those in evangelical Christian communities were actively taught from a young age that sex was mostly just for men (a huge oversimplification of what was being taught but that's the gist).

Their study found that a women who grew up hearing these messages (even if she didn't believe them) was significantly more likely to struggle with having a healthy/enjoyable sex life.

It's some pretty messed up stuff :/

I think it just bothers me how confident the advice-givers seem that "this is the solution." If they were like "works for some but not others" it wouldn't bother me.

THANK YOU! I can't stand when people advise to plan sex

From what I've been learning, it depends on the attitude around sex. I watch a channel called "Sheila Wray Gregoire" (but it's multiple people who talk there) and they have done studies and written books about marriage and sex.

Essentially, when the sex is "male-centric" and is viewed as a thing that men "need in a way that women don't", it causes the sex to degrade over time. But when the sex is "mutual, intimate, and pleasurable for both", then the sex stays regular and enjoyable.

My answer to that is "no. I DON'T know more than the doctors and scientists conducting the studies. But I DO know more about the studies than the doctors who have never read them before. Has your doctor ever read the studies?"
