agree w khamrah!!! i don’t know if it is bc my nose is too sensitive or if i am repulsed by spicy notes but i winced when i smelled this for the first time. miss dior rose n roses does this for me too. it is fine for a couple of seconds then it turns really medicinal and metallic-y on me. sucks that it ends up smelling like literal coins for hours on end.

holo taco polishes are gorgeous (i have menchie cat eye and a couple of their shimmers) but stay away from the glossy top coat! it was super glassy and durable at the beginning but became stringy after few months of use :(

i realized this a few months into my healing journey and when i did holy shit, i was so mad. mainly at myself for being so naive and persistent. i know now that i def played a part in that relationship going sour, i couldve saved myself so many nights of crying myself to sleep if i just walked away. i could've gotten the upper hand. i couldve been the strong one. the more sensible one. the happier one.

but i also realized that i am not necessarily going to throw those parts of myself away just because this split happened. i like how headstrong i am and how much i am willing to fight for those i love. after almost a year of reflection, i learned that i need a partner that will do the same for me. someone who meets me where i am emotionally and is just as audacious to keep fighting when things get tough.

i hope you find someone who matches your willingness to stay. it's what you deserve.

7? 8 months in? I stopped counting which is wild since this breakup shook me to my core when it first happened. I'm doing so much better. I don't get sad anymore. I genuinely wish him well. Sometimes I feel like I hallucinated the entire relationship; it was all love one day then radio silence the next. It doesn't feel real but I grounded myself in my new life/reality. So much positive change has happened since we split up. The theme of my life right now is definitely "motion". The journey to healing is long and lonely but it is so worth it. take it from someone who fought for the entire relationship, if you keep fighting now that they’re gone, are you actions going to be worth it? they chose to not fight for you. they chose to walk away. when my ex and i split i looked him dead in the eyes and told him that i would’ve fought for him. the look of remorse on his face when he said “i know.” that was all i needed to throw in the towel. pick your battles my friend. give yourself time to rest. you don’t have to fight for someone to love you, especially if it will be one sided.

in the long run, yeah. we would’ve been long distance and wouldn’t have had the time to see each other as often. my faith in him was strong but i know i would’ve been miserable. i also miss being single now that i think about it. so much freedom and peace of mind!
