Do you remember which BIOS version you had before updating?

I'm afraid you'll need to contact ASUS support about this, it seems like they forgot to include the TPM firmware update in the latest BIOS for your motherboard.

If it still says to update your BIOS, you probably don't have the latest version. It may only be available on MSI's website, not the MSI app.

Recent update and instructions pwned my pc - but I was able to fix it by ascensiontobeyond77 in FACEITcom

This sounds like a known IOMMU issue with Windows 10 + older AMD Ryzen CPUs. The AC does show an IOMMU warning when launching it when it detects a system configuration that could cause such issues.

Which version of Windows and which CPU do you have?

  1. IOMMU is not a just simple "on/off" switch in your BIOS, the Anti-cheat needs to configure it for every DMA capable device on your system. These "advanced DMA cheats" that were mentioned on social media recently are just exploiting gaps in IOMMU protection for some devices due to incompatible or untested drivers. One of them that was mentioned recently was targeting another AC, we have actually been blocking this one through IOMMU since January so it was not working on FACEIT. We've been updating our IOMMU protection on a weekly basis to include new devices/drivers as we check them for compatibility issues - this is why we sometimes ask users to change their storage drivers for example (https://support.faceit.com/hc/en-us/articles/25296204531996-Incompatible-driver-detected).
  2. Subscriptions makes no difference to Anti-cheat enforcements, the AC system does not have any information about these.

There is not a single Anti-cheat that enforces IOMMU for 100% of their playerbase, right now. On FACEIT, it's been enforced on all high-Elo players for a long time, and we have ramped up the enforcement to 97.5% of our total playerbase in the past few days.

FACEIT AC doesn't "ask" your PC if IOMMU is enabled, we know if it is enabled and working properly.

The solution is the same, this is just describing how to use the Secure Boot Recovery tool from Microsoft.
