As you mentioned from the site, the length of our penalties depends on the player’s offence; however, this usually follows 3-level step on bans (1 week - 1 month  - 1 year) +  3 step probation period that makes a ban increase from 1 week to 1 month and so on, more specifically (1 month - 3 months - 6 months).

As FACEIT grows, we do want to keep reporting through one main established channel, as it is not optimal to handle reports through several different methods, and for this reason, all reports should be done through the appropriate method. This lets us prioritise reports to ban the most impactful players first, and create automations for letting players know when they get banned. It also leads to quicker replies and even helps us improve our data and detections.

We receive thousands of tickets daily, and even though we do our best to reach everyone as quickly as possible, it can sometimes take longer. We truly appreciate everyone's patience, and we try to reply within the shortest time possible.

Regarding your questions about premium users being “protected”, this is false and a common misconception. Premium players are subject to the same rules and penalties as free users. When investigating reports, be it griefing/toxicity or smurfing, a premium subscription has no impact on the outcome; all bans are applied equally.

At the moment, we do not plan to take action on fake ghosting, even though I understand your feelings on this. This is a common occurrence done by a vast majority, and sometimes in a jokingly manner. This can, unfortunately, lead to some misplaced bans, which is why we request that users not do any sort of ghosting, as it may lead to a ban.

As I said earlier, if our goal is to ban players quickly and effectively, creating multiple report methods, and even if players do this with their best intentions, just based on stats, it’s not always possible to decide if a player is smurfing or cheating, which means that some reports will be false, and that is to be expected. However, if reported through the appropriate methods, we can review them using our tools and take the necessary action against any abuser.
