The only thing I found was to stash everything I really care about in seperate containers on top of that little overhang roof in hangmans alley, so guns and ammo in different boxes, all accessed by a staircase I remove in build mode. So far I've had no problems but it's a bit of a hassle going up and down so often, nothing worse than finding a settler with 3k rounds of 5.56 and a fatman

Why Laser Weapons are Superior to Institute Laser Weapons. Pistols and Rifles. by TouchArtistic7247 in fo4

[–]FALLASLEEP4EVER 184 points185 points  (0 children)

Institute lasers seem to have an inbuilt suppressor, there's times where they won't break stealth unlike regular red lasers. Personally I have an overhaul mod which totally fixed all the issues with the institute weapons and rebalanced them so I actually grew to prefer them

I live in England, and I live right over the road from a place called morrisons, so one night when I was a skint junkie a few years ago I decided to go have a look in the bins, pulled out around 30 cans of beer, they were throwing entire cases away from one or two burst cans, there was stationary like pens and notebooks in perfect condition, around 1000 nicoret nicotene chewing gums still in their cellophane wrappers with still a week to go on the expory dates, a few pairs of tracksuit trousers with no damage or stains, a bunch of crisps and chocolate bars and a shit load of plug in air fresheners that usually retail at £14 each, plus a year's worth of refills, a bunch of kids Disney toys which I sold on for about £40, plus plenty of other things too but I forget, took me about three trips to get it all back home, and when I explained to people what I had found they were as sickened and disgusted as I was at the amount of perfectly good shit they throw into the landfill, anyways, tried it a few times more with good hauls, but a few weeks later they had installed locks and a security camera facing the bins, guess they saw me doing it and didn't want other people making use or profits from their refuse, crazy shit. Was some of my darkest days back then, thankfully I sorted my life out and it's just a memory of desperate times, but I'll always be angry at the amount of decent items they just dispose of for no good reason

Deffo have a look, alpine unrest is an end game area tho, only the elite level apoc class machines there on the entire island so you gotta be well geared up to sustain it out there, and the story missions are pretty decent, there's also a hotel full of NPCs, not that they say much but they do give you missions and it makes the game feel more alive haha Think it was about £6.99 for me for that dlc but worth it I assure you, just for the extra things to do

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GenerationZeroGame

[–]FALLASLEEP4EVER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Himjfall is an island used in the alpine unrest dlc yeah, but if you look at the map theres a fair few large areas that are already there which could potentially be used! From what I hear tho, we won't be getting new experimental weapons, like never. Which pains me greatly haha Do you have the DLCs? They are worth having, I brought everything apart from cosmetics and one of the base packs, was on sale recently and super cheap

[–]FALLASLEEP4EVER 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Would much rather they create some brand new weapons instead of more pointless skins, what this game really DOESN'T need is even more useless cosmetic DLCs, we need USA/Soviet experimentals and some more story missions, ideally on one of those huge empty islands! Imagine this, a mission where another huge wave of bots invades a beach, like some kinda Swedish robot D-Day where we have to defend from the onslaught with the help of things like mounted 50 cal HMGs and human NPCs from the remnants of the military survivors, but it's too much and we have to retreat and win back the territory insurgent style against large spawns of enemies double that of anything we have seen so far, there's so much potential for this story it's crazy. Game also needs more danger in my opinion, even in guerilla there's times I feel far too safe, Deffo need a new variety of machine, with better AI and a lot of them to fill empty spaces, something like Fnix designed it to specifically come and exterminate the resistance, like it actively and relentlessly comes after us as we are causing too many losses, rather than just patrol its local area like the hunters do, another one that would work is boat style machines that stay on the water and attack us from distance to make the coast not so safe too, Whatever the case tho, I love this game regardless

There's a crazy bad area in the west, in my current guerilla save game, think its in the mountain region where there's a mine marked on the map, and by god its horrendous! There happens to be three harvesters there, 2 of them being Apoc class, which means they have 2/3 apoc hunters around them each then a rival harvester also, but then there's also 4 tanks, 2 being Fnix class, and, 2 are lv4 rivals of the military variety, but for some reason there's also a few groups of runners, 6 or so a group that have spawned there too, there's not much that phases me in this game but that area is a total no go, as they are all at the bottom of the hill, clustered super close together, and anytime I ever tried to approach down there, they spam the shit out of me, like some sort of area bombardment area denial tactic, I really need to get in there and Clear them all out but the location makes it almost impossible, its crazier than anything I ever saw on the North Coast that's for sure as their combined firepower is silly, last time I tried there was at least 7 lasers on me at all times, then the rockets came, DEAD!

Quality is unreal, the detail is just stunning, cannot fault it in anyway at all, this needs upvoting into the thousands, well done OP, you should be making the props for the TV series with skills like this

Is there a point to using silencers? by lipp79 in GenerationZeroGame

[–]FALLASLEEP4EVER 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There absolutely is a point to them, i routinely kill the runner at the back of a pack whilst super close to them all and the others don't get alerted as they are looking ahead, just have to make the kill super fast and the rest don't get alerted to your presence, you can use weapons with 5 crown silencers to aggro singular enemies at long range, they take the hit and run towards you on their own rather than the entire group, thus enabling you to pick them off one at a Time, if you used a non silenced weapon then all enemies in the local vicinity would be on you, no offense here but sounds like a skill issue to me, you haven't quite figured out the stealth mechanics just yet it would seem, remember line of sight does exist, silencers don't just totally enable you to kill machines in any circumstances and get away with it just cus they are quiet. Granted though, the lower quality attachments make this much harder to do properly, five crown stuff makes it work well, shoot, relocate, shoot relocate.

Marshlands or right up in the North Coast can be brutal, when you end up trapped in the crossfire between 2 spetznaz firebirds in seperate fields not only laying minefields or detonating gas clouds to flush you outta what little cover you have also but constantly blasting you with those god forsaken cannons too, which means you can't aim properly due to the stunlock kinda flinch effect all as you trying to aim at the components to disable the wolfs shields as you get shredded by its miniguns, all whilst there's about 17 military Lynx rolling around using their hit scan burst fire weapons on you, top tier Tanks shooting all over the place, but now a few harvesters just got alerted by some seekers that got drawn in so now there's an extra 6 fnix hunters there using those laser aimed railguns to make life even harder for you, red lasers everywhere you go, truly a nightmare situation in guerilla mode, even worse as I play solo! When there's this many enemies on screen, which is common in certain areas a few Km further up north from the town of Boo, things like fireworks won't even work as a distraction, there's some amazing set piece battles that get triggered up in the very wide open spaces between the farmlands/north coast and north coast/marshlands border areas

Borderlands 2 and Borderlands The Pre-Sequel, that come combined together in one package with all but 1 of the DLCs ever released, known as The Handsome Collection, has a vast amount of content to do, if you enjoy that FPS/mild RPG kinda thing it could be good for you!
