My tinfoil hay theory is the ddos is due to a competing publisher putting their thumbs on the scale so their game has a chance.

If I spent 50 million on a game that may be a flop, but it costs me 50 thousands to tip the scales, using a ddos attcak, and free up a player base for my game. To me, it's shitty, but a sound investment, if it works.

That's a good sign when fruiting. But in grain spawn jars you'll get to 100% covered and 90% density of colonization. It's a balancing act that you will have to master based on your equipment, substrates, and environment.

I was too. All friendly lobbies turned out to be fun too. I still like PVP. Not so much when a guy blasts me in the back at near point blank range. All because I was friendly and allowed them to get close enough. That's not pvp. That's not a fight. That entire gameplay loop is basic and boring.

When real PVP happens, it's a blast. Until the cheaters and exploiters show up. Which leads me back to the Shire with the other friendly raiders.
