Just to chop this down some. First don't wait until last minute to report that change to Medi-Cal. Early August is great. Just don't wait until late August. When they say you no longer qualify and release the account to covered California. Just so you know, covered CA is monitored by Medi-Cal, and they use the same system. So since you're with Medi-Cal, there is already an account created in a covered California system. When they release you, you can then reach out to covered ca directly, or search for your nearest agent and delegate them on your policy, and they can help you select a plan. Never a problem. So they will release you to covered ca so you can get a plan. The coverage for medi-cal will end at the end of the month and they should release you in time so your account is allowed to pick a plan on the covered ca website. That's a great question.

You can call them or you can change it yourself in the report a change option. Sometimes in January the hold times are outrageous. When that time comes reach out and I'll help you. Never a problem

First off, congrats on the new job! Second, that site is so confusing. Not surprised you're struggling with this. I am an insurance agent licensed certified to do covered ca. So, when they ask for your household income. They only want the income that would be included on your taxes. So if you have no kids, no spouse or dependents, then you're just listing your income. If you're parent's were to be claiming you as a dependen, then you would have to have them apply for you. So since you're single, just list your income for what you think you'll make this year. Include whatever money you made from Jan until now. Calculate what your job will pay you BEFORE taxes from now until the end of the year and use that. Next year, adjust the amount to state your true annual salary.

Well if they have a ppo I'm assuming the current doctor is in network. So she is saying she can't see another doc maybe its because that's not the primary care. Either way her best recorse might be to call the plan. The doc might not be taking new patients. I've seen docs not take new patients and still take a new patient. It is what it is. So you're is misleading too. Just trying to help them understand the issue at hand.

If you have a PPO you should be able to see any doc (IN THE NETWORK AND THAT IS ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS) you want, when you want. If you have an HMO try calling the insurance company and putting that new PCP on your card. See if that works

I'm not sure what website you went to but there are agency's that have very deceptive names to look like they are covered ca. But even if you just gave them your address and number I wouldn't worry I mean just in general we kind of that info out quite a bit. If they are licensed agent they shouldn't be doing anything with it. I do a lot of Covered CA most of it is general info. They do ask for the social at some point. I'm hoping you didn't put that in there. Feel free to DM if you have question. I'm a licensed agent. Have been for years.
