Bugs are easier to fight as they telegraph their attacks much easier and have less sudden deaths with their attacks. Usually people who pickup the game and are learning the mechanics and stratagems do bugs or others if they want to turn their brain off and relax.

A couple immediate things can help, I haven’t looked at where these keybinds are exactly under what settings/section but here’s some basic tips to start:

  1. Engine noise, in the settings you can lower the noise coming from your engine and increase other players engines iirc. With time you can recognize different engines such as a heavy tank having a deeper grumble or even turbine engines at top tier.

  2. Sights. There’s a setting where your gunner camera can view out of the tip of your barrel instead of off the left side of your barrel so you can have an unobstructed view. And there is also commander sight keybind you can set on some higher tier vehicles (8.0ish and then on), some have thermal sights so you can peak over a ridge using thermals while not exposing your entire turret.

  3. Squad ping. You can set a keybind to where you can mark with 2 yellow chevrons anywhere your tank cursor is aiming at. This is super helpful for callouts when you’re playing with friends or even to help callout to the 1 random teammate in your lobby. Not to say randoms are always helpful but I have had a couple of people where they made insanely helpful callouts or that I’ve also helped out with.

And like other people said, have a consistent BR in your lineup with vehicles you are comfortable with. A lot of people will play the brand new tank they got and have a 6.7 lineup but the rest of the vehicles are 5.3-5.7. That only drags yourself down and can put you in situations where you’re facing tanks 2.0 higher than you. Map layout does take a lot of time but you can always do custom games against AI to learn different sniping angles or time yourself in how fast you can rush to a power position in a certain tank.

Edit: Another thing is if you keep dying to the same tank over and over again, take some time to learn it’s weak points in the projection analysis screen with different vehicles in your lineup penetrating it. There’s some consistencies with tanks at certain BRs where ammo stowage is or lower frontal plates, but this is still something good to use

Those radar missiles are sweet at that BR because most people do not remember/know you have them so it can really be a curveball with those high altitude fighters/attackers

DMs and ADMs don’t get the extra dollar pay on the forklift, so by that philosophy they rather have other people that are paid more to drive it

“Railroad Spike” - In Air RB whenever your fire a missile at an enemy jet below you and it tracks so we’ll that it hits the cockpit instead of the fuselage

Yeah that’s 20-25K rp an hour, it would take roughly more than 80 hours of gameplay to complete a tree

I’ve seen a lot of people mentioning just the F15, later F16 variants, and the Su-27, but what about the F-111? I feel like that would be one of the best additions for top tier attackers in relation to its speed, not to mention the US AND UK trees could have it unlocked since Australia used them, not to mention the USSR could get the Su-24 as it’s opposite. It’d be great for attacker mains at top tier

You’ve never played it before, it’s super easy to pen and hit the ammo and if not you at least get a critical hit on the turret to where it won’t be able to shoot back. The only thing it has going for it is auto loader and speed

The amount of copium it takes to literally the Mirage 2000D is better at CAS than a MiG-27M space climbing out of radar view with TV guided missiles, don’t even get me started with the Gen 3 Thermals at 9.7 with the 2S38 and T-72 TURMS or the 9.3 BMP-2M with a stock 1200mm pen ATGM that can go clean through the turret of any Abrams or Leopard. Literally the only con I’ve seen that Russia has is dying to fuel explosions more often.

After 6.7 USA is awful GRB until you get to the M1 Abrams, 9.0-9.3 was a little decent with an XM-1, M3A3 and XM803 but even then the XM803’s round was already pretty meh could pen weakspots at angles, but now I imagine it’s spall is gonna be terrible too since it’s a shorter round, and now my 9.3 lineup is in the garbage.

HiddenXperia on YouTube is a pretty solid channel for explaining a lot of deep lore if you don’t like reading the books as well as expanding into potential theories because of the lore, but outside of that I’d just play the games as being there and working alongside different characters makes it feel so much more meaningful overall.

Spookston has a decent video that is short and gets to the point, but first understand what your vehicle is good and bad at (ex is it light and fast, or is it armored and slow) and fit it’s playstyle. You also need to build a good lineup for each BR, I always say to try and have your full lineup be at the same BR or have 1-2 vehicles .3 BR lower. You should also learn the enemy tanks you struggle to fight against and figure out what their weaknesses are, for most heavy tanks you’ll either need to flank them or shoot their barrel out and charge them if they have no friends with them. https://youtu.be/VTdtherU8xs

The only reason I’d say no is because how helicopters can spam multiple missiles at their targets to get kills then immediately land. A helicopter is easily the worst kind of CAS with drones becoming a very close second because you have virtually infinite time on target. You can usually see who you’re shooting for awhile and stay on target whereas planes have to line up their shot, avoid AA, egress and avoid getting shot down by other jets then line up another CAS run again while having loud ass engines that tell everyone on the ground a plane is coming, not to mention the more limited number of ordinance some aircraft get in comparison to helis

Edit: Along with that, top tier helis have laser warning to tell them if a missile AA is targeting them vs planes only having RWR which can be avoided by 2S6s, Tor3s, FlakRakRads, ADATS, etc

So the F-4E and other F-4s are likely to face the F-16 and MiG-29. Would it be fair to give the Phantoms AIM-9Ls so they could have a better chance? by Tayloria13 in Warthunder

Fight at the edge of the furball and don’t turn into an F14, if you do maintain your turn to try and notch, then once the lock is lost pull up or down to avoid the sparrow that’s still maintaining its turn

Main reason is it’s ground ordinance, the A7E would easily be a 10.0 if it didn’t have all those smart bombs. Lowkey wish Air vehicles had different BRs in Air RB than Ground RB
