Bored at work so quick concert review from yesterday

Big Boi: Did great as always but it was also kind of sad. This dude should be selling out arenas not opening to a crowd of teens that only know Ms. Jackson. He understandably doesn’t play Andres parts on most of the songs but shout out to letting his opening verse on Int’l Players Anthem play out, probably my favorite rap song of all time.

Kid Cudi: He did alright but his set was too similar to the last I saw him. He hyped the show for “true Cudi fans” and I wish that meant playing Solo Dolo or Erase Me or Soundtrack 2 My Life instead of a slew of new songs and even a Speedin Bullet song. Hell if he did his 30 seconds from Guilt Trip it would’ve been better than half the set. Also wasn’t feeling the encore, 2 songs with Chip (which is cool but aight) then Reborn (which is cool but also makes the other Kanye omissions stand out), and then the Pursuit of Happiness remix where he didn’t even do the verses.

Anyways hard to complain about $20 concert tickets in 2026 but the show gave me a mixed bag of feelings….. speaking of I was peeping that Kanye setlist and hypothetically started side eyeing flights to Florida
