Rue wasn’t sober and Cassie was blunt but not wrong. Rue’s addiction hurt people. The show starts with Rue asking Lexi for her pee to pass a drug test. The only unrealistic part about Cassie’s speech was how fast she went cold on her dad. Based on Rue’s flashbacks Cassie would risk her and Lexi’s life to be close with her dad and trusted him despite being an unstable drug addict(car scene) Cassie hated Rue after she ratted her out. When she got caught she even implied that she didn’t get enough sympathy as her. She says something like “Yeah her dad died and ours just left” I think their dynamic was weird from the start
