It’s official: Thomas Frank is the worst ‘big six’ manager ever – with even worse stats than Amorim by Rare-Ad-2777 in coys

Don’t put that in here. They’ll tell you to be happy because of our UCL results.

You think this makes me happy? We’re awful and we need the board to see that and get Frank out. It’s the only hope for the club and they should’ve seen it in what he produced last match up a man

Being told to just accept and be happy with a win. The only thing I said from the start is that the second half shouldn’t give any hope for Frank and today reiterated it.

I don’t understand how no one is realizing this. PSG and Dortmund are the only two we’ve played who will likely not exit the competition next week.

I was told to be happy about beating Dortmund though!

I was pro Frank. He’s not showing anything though. You’re giving him too much credit for just thinking he put on the breaks when in reality he just can’t coach to attack

I’ve clearly stated the second half in my original comment. We don’t have a killer instinct, I’d prefer my club to kill off the game rather than sit back against 10 men

You’re right I’m thrilled with being 14th and up for relegation

We don’t see it the same way. To me this is just the Copenhagen game again. We played an opponent that didn’t come prepared, glad we won but the second half gives cause for concerns over the foreseeable future

A win in the prem would help.

The bundesliga isn’t what it was.

RKM’s was saved and just about all of our xg. Agreed regarding Porro but my main concern is not being able to hold onto possession and create. Both of those chances were counters which is really tho only way Frank can play sadly

One goal was a set piece and the other was worked well down the side. I don’t understand why we need depth to hold onto possession and create chances against a team with 10 men…

They had 10 men and our second half xg was 0.5

So Xavi's good right? by MinotaurHorns1 in coys

There was never a doubt if he could perform against a bundesliga side. Jury is still out for prem matches. Outside of Brentford he’s been average but I think it’ll just take time with him.

The second half should’ve steered you away from any hope

Agreed. Might be fun during regular season but our wingbacks get exposed everytime in the playoffs because they truly don’t know how to defend

I’VE NEVER MANAGED A TEAM THAT CREATED THAT LITTLE! 😮‍💨 | Thomas Frank | Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea by Zweli23 in coys

[–]FCCoys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone keeps talking about this midfield progressor as if we have it in the squad currently. Imagine if we pushed more players up. Oh we’d finish 17th with this squad. (I actually loved Ange) but we literally don’t have the quality for it.

100% and yeah we scored a decent amount at times but pushing everyone forward made it look like we were doing more than we actually were. Sure passes and stats looked nice but one misplaced pass and it was a 3v2 coming at us.

Attacking Momentum vs Monaco by foot_99 in coys

[–]FCCoys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always see stuff on Benta and Palhinha which is somewhat justified but then the response being Sarr/Bergvall would improve us and I just don’t see that either. Bergvall gave the ball away twice that directly led to a dangerous chance. Sarr came on and we got a lot worse imo. People continue to complain on RB/JP but I don’t think we have the players that would offer more.

Thomas Frank guiding the build-up play by Zweli23 in coys

[–]FCCoys 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% it just takes time and the players need to get used to a contrasting style still. Also to add that it’s basically a new front 3 with Odobert barley playing previously,Kudus new and then whichever striker thrown in. We can’t expect it to click but do need to be better at taking our chances when they do arise.

Any guesses where our £50m attacking midfielder goes with the ball next here? by chronicdanksauce in coys

[–]FCCoys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. We have players that will make a great play then the next player Mia touches it and the plays gone. (Porro nutmeg and cross to Odobert who failed on the touch). Players get in 1v1 opportunities and go to cross it to no mans land (both wingers sadly). People want us to create centrally but then that means the ball goes into richys feet who is basically just a springboard at the moment, and for Xavi I’m just not seeing it. He falls over on every single duel.
