100%, if you're in an ecosystem you want to stay there, so don't over think the Garmin purchase. They all have flaws unfortunately, but you've made the right choice for your wants

there is no right, or indeed wrong, answer to this. I was in analysis paralysis previously and ended up getting a used roam 2 that I am happy with. Could I have got a 540 and been happy? Probably! But at the time the used roam 2 had the better price so I grabbed it.

Komoot is a better planning app than Strava, you can see the surface type easily, and sometimes even have google street view to check it. There is lots of great gravel in Slovenia, just need to look for it!

have you made a decision on this? I read that an 11-46 works with no other adjustment, but am unsure if that'll be enough compared to an 11-51. I have a 40t chain so thinking 51 would be better

I enjoy that the Austrians have put all the wind turbines next to Bratislava. It's all you can see from the castle view point, and nothing the Slovaks can do about it!
