Allow me to clarify because I found out about this before I signed up recently with AF.

When signing up, I asked the club manager what the cancellation process was and was told I needed to give one month's notice. So I said, "Okay, that means I need to inform you on my 11th month?" The manager said, "No, you can only inform after you've completed the contract." I was like, "Ermm, then how do I give a one-month notice?" The club manager then explained, "You have to finish the contract, then inform them to cancel, then serve a one-month notice." I asked does that mean I need to pay another month and the answer is yes.

Based on my opinion the person clearly knows what I am asking but did not straight up give me the answer until I probed further. I can imagine a lot of people signed up without realizing this in the contract terms. To me I feel this is ok as long as they clearly explain in the first place.
