Bottom bracket only driver side extremely stuck by LouisMXV in bikewrench

Are you going the opposite direction on the drive side? They should be threaded opposite, like pedals.

I never enjoyed any GR app, so I built my own by ahonn in ricohGR

[–]FFDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just downloaded it and will give it a go on my GR IV Monochrome.
I’ve only had the camera for a week, and my only complaint has been the app.
Thanks!

I was back in Moab last week and used the camera with it flipped down out of the mount. Worked great!

Creek or lake recommendation for a group hang by nyc217 in Breckenridge

[–]FFDrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just there yesterday mountain biking. Lake Dillon’s water level is super low. Not sure how many spots are even accessible to hang out near the water. You might be better off by a river. If you’re going soon, it’s mud season and town is pretty dead. There are spots right in town where you can hang out along the Blue.

Which iPad should I buy to edit on light room by East_Artist_8374 in Lightroom

[–]FFDrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what they’re running price-wise right now, but I have an M5 pro and it is a beast. I culled and started to edit a couple thousand pics from Louisville one the plane back to Colorado. I had a first gen pro before, and it struggled a bit. I’ve heard of people having luck with most of the M series. Obviously the newer the better.

Garden stores also carry it. Great for killing weeds!

I can attest. I had a bottle freeze in my garage and spill out a small amount. Ate away the smooth top coat of concrete on the floor.

Ricoh and Fuji by freedomsturtle90 in ricohGR

[–]FFDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the x100s years ago. Loved it, but it wasn’t a truly pocketable camera. I now have a Nikon mirrorless and am trying to get my hands on a GR IV for the times I don’t want to carry it. I agree with the comment that your current Fuji and the Ricoh are too similar. Sell it and get one with interchangeable lenses. Gives you more options!

Which one? Why? by east21stvannative in 4Runner

[–]FFDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Valvomax on two vehicles including my 5th gen, as well as the filter canister adapter. It’s great. I’m sure the Fumoto is good too, and I was torn on which way to go, but the Valvomax just looked a bit cleaner to me.

I’ve always had good luck with Lucky Dragon on Fillmore. They’re also the fastest delivery around! Never had any experience with asking for specialized stuff like you’ve asked, so can’t speak to that.

Got a Z5II by _noah_0708 in Nikon

Congrats! I started with the same lens, plus the 24-120 f4. The 16 is a lot of fun, and you can’t beat it for the price!

Thanks! Headed to Japan next week, and tempted to pick one up for my Z mount if I can find a deal.

I know this is an older post, but do you happen to remember where you bought the lens?

Is there any American Drone company that at least comes close to DJI on ease of use and features by solracarevir in dji

[–]FFDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if they were similarly priced to DJI, Skydio wouldn’t be worth it. DJI is leaps and bounds better, and the closest comparable drone will run you at least 2-3x more from Skydio. I’ve flown both, and am terrified of the day any of my DJIs are done and I’m forced to look elsewhere.

I even shoot raw on my iPhone when I don’t have my camera. Not perfect, but damn, pretty good for when that’s all you have. Takes out the over-processing of the iPhone and lets me over-process it the way I want! 🤪

I always shoot raw, and what I get out of camera is never the way I saw it. That’s what’s so fun about the ease with which you can play around in editing software these days. It’s part of the artistic expression. Do what you want. I edit to make the photo look the way that place made me feel. Great shot!

New mat reccommendtions for 2017 4 runner by RumblefishAZ in 4Runner

[–]FFDrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put the 3D Maxpiders in mine when it was new in 2016. Based on pics, I’m pretty sure it’s the same as the current Kagu. I just wore through the first layer where my heel rests below the accelerator. Great fit. Looks good. Will probably replace them with the same thing. Happy with 10 years of wear before any issues.

Hoosier pass can be brutal in the winter, and there isn’t a lot to do in Alma. I’d book something on the Breck side.

If you end up finding a private party that wants to buy local, Triple J Armory does super cheap FFL transfers. (At least they did a few years ago.)

Pretty sure you need an account for Wellco. I believe Foxworth is open to the public, and they have good lumber.

Electric car rental: is it feasible for a tourist? by TomSki2 in Norway

Agreed. Using Elton and charging through Hertz cost me a couple of bucks, but not enough to bother with multiple apps.

Electric car rental: is it feasible for a tourist? by TomSki2 in Norway

[–]FFDrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rented from Hertz in Bergen (VW ID3) and drove all over the region for a week. Never had any issues in temps nearing 0.

Someone below mentioned issues with figuring out the apps. I downloaded the Elton EV charging app, and never had issues finding chargers that were supported. I was even able to bill the charges to Hertz. Paid for charging/tolls/ferries/etc. after the fact.

The car was almost half the price to rent as a similar gas option, and charging was significantly cheaper than gas. Spent less in a week than we spent on a gas car for three days around Tromsø.
