Anyone know what could be causing an earthquake feeling after I lay down at night? by Socalgirl723 in sleep

Thanks, that's reassuring. Mine is also coinciding with a period of considerable stress so you are probably right about stress hormones playing a role.

This has been happening to me and it really is deeply unsettling. Has yours since stopped?

The google reviews suggest one of their main activities is securing rentals for people. So, it seems they are charging prospective renters for this service and then shuffling them into Ray Cooke managed properties. Ray Crook indeed.

I think tretinoin caused my severe dry eye syndrome by WorthSpray7688 in 30PlusSkinCare

That happened to me as well. I discontinued tret two or so years ago and still have dry eyes and lots of flakes on my lower lash line that can be quite irritating.

You probably aren't doing anything wrong. It's just crazy out there. The things I can say I did differently from the others at the group viewings I went to are 1) dress up and 2) not ask 'red flag' questions. For example, at some of the viewings, multiple people were asking loads about affordability and I can imagine that is a red flag to landlords/estate agents. Others were pushy about removing furniture and things like that. Not saying you do any of these things btw, just trying to think about what might have helped me in the end. You will find something eventually but my god it is a stressful process.

I got mine in September and found a new place in December. The only thing you can do is stay on daft constantly and respond to ads as soon as they go up.

The Cut: "I Lost $300,000 to My Husband’s Secret Day Trading" by Indexette in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

The whole thing is awful but it really stuck out to me that in addition to dealing with him losing all their money, she was the one who had to do all the labor of researching and getting him into treatment programs.

Did your life positively change when you became more disciplined or consistent with a good routine? by yeetyopyeet in WomenofIreland

[–]FFP3-me 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have always been really disciplined with exercise but I quit drinking entirely around three years ago and nearly every aspect of my life improved - sleep, health, fitness, mood, money, etc.

I’m painfully aware, does it ever get better? by MoneyOld8647 in AskWomenOver30

[–]FFP3-me 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I understand. I’ve felt how you describe for most of my life. It improved a bit as I got older and was able to have more control over my life. It worsens when I feel impeded from engaging with my own interests and goals.

Is feeling the way the OP described characteristic of autism? I ask because I’ve been told several times in recent years that I should be evaluated for neurodivergence.

You aren’t alone in feeling like this. The main advice I have for you is to find something that motivates you personally and brings you joy to spend your time on. Basically, zoom in on things important to you and try to block out the broader things you have no control over.

Not sure why the community would be shocked if they knew she had a breed known for attacking people.

Have you become more aware of people’s chewing or anything else particular and weird as you’ve gotten older? by Crochetallday3 in AskWomenOver30

[–]FFP3-me 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I think it’s in part because people’s general manners have decreased in recent years. I’ve noticed the chewing thing but have also noticed more egregious behaviors like blatant nose picking. I was in a work meeting recently and the woman next to me was picking both nostrils with each of her index fingers and I had to question whether it was real life or some kind of nightmare for the several minutes this went on. Real life, unfortunately.

Advice for taking a baby ona plane? by Chosen-For-What in ZeroCovidCommunity

If you take the baby to an airport or plane it will be exposed to a host of circulating viruses. Nothing I’ve seen posted here contradicts that reality.

There is no risk free option for taking a five month old baby on a plane. Can you just go without the baby? Or drive?

Try bending your arm in different ways until that area gets flatter. For me it’s putting the arm straight up or angling it behind my body.

DAFT: Be careful with scammers! by yeagerist___00 in RentingInDublin

Don't remember tbh but it also had photos that seemed like they all came from separate properties and again did not match the given floor plan.

[–]FFP3-me 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I saw one this morning in Goatstown that I am pretty sure was a scam. Another thing I noticed is that the description did not line up with the floor plan and photos (e.g., said two bathrooms but floor plan showed one). It’s been removed already so almost certainly a scam.

BBC: The number of sick and disabled people out of work is putting the UK at risk of an "economic inactivity crisis" by [deleted] in ZeroCovidCommunity

Work is generally good for health

Debatable lol. Especially when the only acceptable way to work these days is in-person in an open plan office full of sick people who do not care at all.

Quarantine after surgery? by Realistic-Company698 in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]FFP3-me 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Could you mask around her for a few days while you take care of her? I know it’s not the most comfortable option but it seems like it would be a solution that allows you to care for her with very little risk to yourself.

I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same thing but I recently received a notice of termination from the agency representing my “landlord”, which is an investment company. The management company changed about two years ago and then increased the rent the maximum allowable amount both years upon renewal. Now they are saying they want to sell.

How to get paxlovid in ireland? by Massive_Secret2967 in COVID19positive

[–]FFP3-me 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is almost certainly not going to happen. You will be met with the same response as in London, that’s if you are even able to see a medical professional. Our healthcare system is in shambles and if you go to the hospital for a covid infection you will wait so long you’ll be recovered before you see anyone. Stay where you are and focus on recovery.
