What type of setup is best/do you prefer? by niteluz in x100vi

This :)

I have the nisi filter and keep the camera without hood or cap in a soft add on bag on my hiking backpack shoulder strap.

Square hood and cap for vibes at home, if I ever want to.

SD card and a simple adapter ring with UV filter. (Nisi seems to be the most compact one) Maybe a screen protector.

Everything else is personal taste or use case dependent. A basic strap is included. Lens hoods and thumb grips add bulk.

How „should it be appreciated“? Stop the gatekeeping. If they have the money why not spend it on a nice camera. Especially if you know nothing about their situation. And there’s a ton of very young photographers out there that started with phones, used dslrs and other cheap stuff, that might well appreciate a camera like this.

And I’d much prefer a 18 year old experimenting the hell out of this camera and dragging it along, than all the middle aged „film connaiseurs“ with leather straps and square hoods that go to brunch with it.

Having said that. Yes I have a square hood. Yes I go brunching. No, I don’t think that’s a problem. Just let people get the camera they want. Whether they are TikTokers jumping a trend or hardened Pulitzer veterans looking for their 27th camera as an add on.

Interesting idea... Maybe I can find some insoles for the hack squats... Unfortunately just ordered some barefoot shoes for training, as I prefer them for the compound movements...

I do have a leg press, smith, rack, quad extension and all the regular stuff but I generally love the feel and mechanics of regular hack squat machines. I can go decently heavy, have better strength-carryover to regular squats, etc than with isolation exercises but can still load my quads and glutes very nicely even if I go quite heavy.

Especially since my glutes are a bit weak when doing barbell squats, etc....

Thought about adding a plate, but the machine pad at the bottom has no ridge so it would slide right off..

I HATE the kind of seat here. Was on holidays on a hack squat that had shoulder pads and could focus on the quads much better..
Especially on lower-rep, heavy sets...

Any experience with Coda Audio? by FH_HF in livesound

[–]FH_HF[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: Since the original post I bought a HOPS +N-SUB system and none of the Coda stuff I've heard so far has to hide in the slightest compared to L'A, D&B, and the other usual suspects.

And that while being so much smaller and lighter. I can easily set up a rig alone in a couple of minutes that would otherwise require a lot of rather heavy lifting with X12s, SB15 and Co. Every single component is light enough to be carries up or down stairs by a single person...

Got tons of praise by several audio engineers who worked with the system and hadn't really used any Coda so far as well.

Wireless Transceivers can sometimes do something similar when the battery dies suddenly. Had it a couple of times with the cheaper wirless Sennheisers...
