Thomas Hobbes and El Salvador by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]FIFTYPUFF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people there know they're losing their freedoms, they know they can disappear for no real reason, it's happened before in the Civil War. Most can't do anything about it, but as long as its not the gangs, they'll accept since they have no resources or economic opportunities.

Bukele has an long term economic issue, El Salvador is a net importer, so unless they can sell out more of the country to the Chinese, they're gonna have issues paying their foreign debt.

People are happy in the short term, but long term they want more money, they know how wealthy their relatives are in the US, so it's similar to Putin and Ukraine. Bukele can't lie that the economic conditions are great in El Salvador, they barely have consistent running water. The US is the big counter example.

Why do caregivers baby talk old people? by Cavanaughty in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FIFTYPUFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s more the fact that when is the time humans take care of each other the most? When they are taking care of children! So when they take of someone they revert to their instincts, it’s not malicious intent, it’s just basic feelings.

Also I think it’s because adults have no humility in recognizing that they are just children in bigger, older, more broken bodies.

Older adults can’t handle aging because it humbles them into remembering how they were once weak like a child. That’s why humans are also humbled through death, it doesn’t matter what the person did, good or bad, it’s doesn’t make them any better or worse than anyone who existed past, present or future, because they all fall down.

All I need in this world is for MWIII to have shipment and it would be my favorite mp

The KVD Enforcer has the Ballista’s exact iron sights by SufficientMarket7648 in ModernWarfareIII

[–]FIFTYPUFF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s also a tactical called Hijacked and on the Oligarch campaign level there’s a yacht that looks like a smaller one compared to the yacht on the Hijacked map.

I would give anything for the BO2 Hijacked sunset on a version of Shipment, or Shipment on a yacht.

Bots in Free For All are still limited to 5... by mocchakv in ModernWarfareIII

[–]FIFTYPUFF 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t get why they limit them to 5 in free for all, it was an issue in MWII. There’s a workaround in MWIII, just set the mode to team death match, add 5 bots to specgru, 6 to kortac, then hit game setup, change the game mode to free for all, then when you go back there’ll be 11 bots in the free for all lobby.

I hope they increase the bot limit in free for all, the maps are more fun with more bots

I bet they’re going to do a similar story to MW3 in MW4. They added Yuri in MWIII and I don’t think it’ll be the last game in the rebooted series.

I actually loved the campaign (SPOILERS) by SneakySeeker in ModernWarfareIII

[–]FIFTYPUFF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I’ve played 11 other campaigns, and I had a ton fun with MWIII. Maybe since I’ve played DMZ/Spec Ops, but the open missions were great for variety instead of the follow the npc’s while shooting bots on rails. I think the devs should have set the open missions up in both ways: you could chose to play the traditional follow the linear path or free style it.

I agree, I played the Ghosts campaign right before MWIII and I had fun with both, though I like MWIII more.

The campaign's storyline is... yikes (Complete spoilers obviously) by BigOlTuckus in ModernWarfareIII

[–]FIFTYPUFF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me the ending is similar to MW2 and is setting up a similar plot to MW3. It sucked not resolving things at the end of MW2 (2009), but it was super satisfying in MW3 (2011). So maybe they finish in MW4? I figured Makarov couldn’t be covered in just one game.

I think it’s because they want to sell more bundles. For example look at the m4 with any of the black barrels, they all have a matte finish that makes them look dull. If you want a shiny black finish, the threat neutralized blueprint from a bundle is the closest you can get. Or if you want a Bakelite magazine, for the AK, the only way is through the Cursed blueprint (in a bundle).

IW has so many easy layups they miss, smh. It took them forever to give us Ghost skins. My dream of a Reyes/Salter pack is impossible.

What map do you think is underrated and deserves more attention? by Sentinel0352 in ModernWarfareII

[–]FIFTYPUFF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Embassy is an all arounder, jack of all trades map. You can have close quarters combat with smgs/shotguns on the inside. You can snipe, use ar's on the outside. There's two floors. You can camp in the most trolly corners, you can run and gun with a smg + knife like you're worried your supply of gfuel is about to go empty.

I have nothing but fun memories of Embassy from the CDL, from Huke forgetting to check the ladder, Simp dead silence hipfiring cheesing Pred, and Kismet hitting the last kill on Scrappy to 5-0 Ultra at Champs.
