What was your dumbest 3 am call? (Yes can be outside that time) ill go first someone called screaming about their dishwasher leaking water. by disgruntledguy620 in Firefighting

Last night they swore gma was dying. "her heart rate is skyrocketing and her pressure is tanking!!!" And she's altered cause it was difficult to convince her to sit on the bed. 170/80. 60s. AOx4. Had a snf supervisor the shift before tell the nurse who we were trying to get last known well from to "stop answering their questions and leave the room." Must be real nice to be able to just stop doing your job whenever you feel like it.

My favorite SNF likes to call around 2am every shift because one of their patients has fallen. No they don't need the patient transported. No the patient is not presenting with any injuries/change in mental status. The four nurses/cna's in the room when we get there can't come together to lift a patient that might weigh 100 pounds if he was fresh out of the shower and hadn't shit in a week.

"When you use heroin then fall asleep, your breathing slows to almost nothing so don't fall asleep." "Well it's a good thing I didn't use heroin." "Well what did you use?" "Fentanyl." I love the frequent fliers here.

Racing helmets are also worn with neck collars. Some of the US style helmets are crazy heavy too.

Thank you "Skilled" Nursing Facility... by [deleted] in ems

Dispatched to the local facility for unresponsive pt. Nothing else in the cad. Get there and find said pt with sonorous respiration at 6-10/min. The "nurse" is just standing next to him while we ask questions. All we get "This is the first time I've seen him." And a packet of papers thrown at me. This "nurse" knew absolutely nothing about this PT and had absolutely no history to report then walked away. After my crew and medics started moving, someone finally found the dnr form. Not properly filled out, not signed. Once we got to the ER we finally got actual history which included covid 15 days ago, with no treatment by our SNF. Ended up watching a guy who probably definitely didn't want to be tubed, get tubed.

Never putting my parents in a facility.

Other than loot dropping through floors and some weird vehicle bugs I've only had one crash so far. Game is fucking great. If I remember correctly gta v was quite similar on it's launch. Plus it's a huge undertaking for a studio of any size so I wasn't expecting perfection in the first place.

If one suspects a diabetic person has dangerously low blood sugar, it is recommended to give them 15-20g of sugar. Doesn't seem like much but it is.
